  1. Interesting lens! I am going to guess that the lens is designed for doing flash photography as in several Japanese RF fixed-lens cameras. You set GN of your flash in front of your film ASA, and there should be a switch somewhere else in the lens that is engaged for flash photography. After engaging, aperture is adjusted automatically when focusing. It is a dangerous feature, because one may forget to disengage flash mode. Don’t ask me how I know.
  2. You have a nice set, Chuck! The lens mounted in this VXIib is a Pancolar 50/2, the long Zebra one on the right is a Sonnar 135/4, and the lens on the left is a Flektogon 35/2.8, which I like a lot. I believe that I also have a Tessar somewhere, along with 28mm and 100mm third-party lenses.
  3. Going to try a couple of rolls with a long-stored Exakta VX IIb and her lenses. Good exercise for the left hand.

  6. The Helios-103 is worth the trouble. My limited experience with Ukranian sellers is (fortunately) good. Hope that you can finally get a nice working camera and enjoy the nice FSU lenses for Kiev bodies.
