  2. The title alone is worth the price of admission. Love those crazy ladders--they must be tipsy. You have a gift for making comic sense out of this world.

  5. Bloody revolution? Why didn't somebody wake me up? I've got pitchforks and curses at the ready! Oh well, I might have gotten injured. Better I missed it. Yes, I am still photographing and have just posted evidence of same. I am slaving over a re-write and will be publishing a Kindle book in the foreseeable future. I trust you are well, Jack. It appears your vision remains as acute as ever.
  6. As so often happens, you left me laughing. And it's so hard to be gruntled anymore....
  7. It looks like a giant turntable where they play cars instead of records.

    Downtown

I DO see Hopper's influence in your work--as I recall another of your photographs struck me that way recently. The words--"Ober Tashe"--add a mysterious element that that might not exist for someone familiar with the context.
  9. Intriguing! I think I saw this in a monster movie in the 1950's.

    Useless Trash

I don't know why this makes me think of Laurel and Hardy, but it does.
  11. Wow, I'll say! Be careful leaning over volcanos and speeding through the universe, Jack! (But of course, bring a camera.) This caught my eye as a tiny photo in the preview and it is worth the look. There is a threatening quality in the apparent rupture, and the gash on the lower right corner adds a strange suggestion of something...else.
  12. I believe this may be a juxtaposition of the incongruous.

    On the Road to Nara

This photograph evokes an intense "urban longing" in me, akin to what feel when I see "Nighthawks At The Diner." This photograph has staying power.
  15. Of course I deny it, Mr. Kent....
  16. This is a wonderful juxtaposition, Jack. The composition is perfect--everything seems in its place, and yet it's unsettling, too.

  18. I laughed out loud when I saw it. But there's more to it than just laughs. I could contemplate this photograph for a while, I think.
  19. It is a sweet image. I do wish for more contrast, though.

Yes! Andre was fascinating in youth and old age!

    In My Room

Wonderful visual tension in this photograph.
  23. This is a marvelous photograph! Your photos of the Bronx knock out!
