Thanks all.  Jody, I agree, though there appeared to be some issues with the upload getting a bit fuzzy too.  I have some shots with a darker sky as well, and you're totally right, they look nice.  I particularly liked the curve of the smoke in this one though.

That sky is incredible, dark ominous.

I thought this was the City of Arts and Sciences! I loved that place when I was there this spring. I wish I could have spent several days photographing just it, but there were so many beautiful things in Valencia. Great shot!

While the sky color is fantastic, it's the rocks that really make this image for me. Such great detail and texture. Well done!

The tones seem a little washed out, but the scene itself is fascinating. A really nice job framing as well. I'd just like to see more contrast, or less to give it almost a dreamy feel, it's stuck in limbo right now for me.

Cool shot, especially how bright the sparks turned out. One of those cool moments in what would otherwise appear a pretty drab worksite scene. Well caught.

Really beautiful shot, such a great mood. My one thought would be maybe to take a similar shot with a little more natural light around, it would help keep the streetlights from being so blown out. Great shot!

Thank you Chris! Yes, it was one hell of a storm, I think I got out just in time (from the Willamette Valley and was out on the coast for "vacation"). The spot was safe enough at least ;) It was above the water a bit anyway.
