The serial number is 155897. Can some one please tell me the year of
manufacture. The literature I have seen only goes back to 1933.Many thanks.

Every single time I have sold a Leica I have regreted.I now have 5 Leica Ms including Leica MP and 3 LTM. However, horses for courses as the adage goes. I also have 2 Nikon DSLR (D70 and D200) plus Film Nikon SLR (F90 and F100). I use them all. But will I sell all my Leicas? NEVER. I might sell some but not all.

What would be the right price to pay for Pentax MX Body in Black Paint in
Excellent ++ condition with 1.4/50mm, 2.8/28mm and 2.8/120mm all with UV
filters and the condition of the lenses can be described as mint. Thank you.

Paul, lake Como, Leica 111F and a very beautiful wife - what more could you possible ask for? I am sure you had a wonderful time. I recently bought, yet another, 111F but this time it is red scale with self-timer and in mint condition and it came with a mint 3.5/50 Elmar red scale again in mint condition. Waiting to shoot some colour and black/ white very soon.

Using Leica is like having an orgasmic experience ( I am sure, not all, but some of you will remember it). Besides, when you are in bed with nasty cold, headache, sore throat, fever and generall run down, get you LEICA out and play with it - you will find it is very therapeautic.

I found that no matter how careful you are using this rewind crank on MP, it WILL scratch the body. MP was designed without it and that is how it should be used. Besides, they expensive and does not justify the cost.

Rob, centre spot filter with 45mm lens is a MUST. The reason you might be getting away using Provia 100F is because you might be shooting at F:8 or smaller aperture, but when you open up to f:5.6 you need the filter. This is why perhaps you need faster film to stay around f:8 to f:16. These filters are not cheap. I recently bought one second hand in mint condition for GBP 130.
