For lighting I tried "painting" this subject with a flashlight and am

not too happy with the result. No other light was used. Exposure

was about 20 secs. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I considered cropping this from the bottom up to about where the

bottm leaf folds back and starts to come into better focus. But I

kind a like middle of the flower being off centered in the

rectangular frame.

Any opinions?

Tried this before with the background almost all black. Don't know

if more background is better or just distracting. Any comments

First try at colorizing a b + w print via software. Any

Just getting started, looking for suggestions, in particular ways to

making lighting "interesting". Used one main light directly off the

right side. Reflected light from the left.
