daaaaamn....... surreal! I love the contrast between the cool, mysty mountains and the orange sky. again, you've successfully used the rails to whisk the view through the foreground, then allowing the eye to wander across the magnificent span of the background.

actually, I like the train tracks. they encapsulate the picture and lead the eye around the scene, encouraging your gaze to wander over the mountains and then on to the sun & its reflections in the water. w/o the tracks, this might seem like another wintry wilderness shot, but the tracks set this image off from others. if you want to get this shot w/o the tracks & w/ more detail, then it might be a good idea to take another panoramic from the top of that little penninsula (if you can return to the site).

very beautiful model. I like how her gaze leads you off the frame, making you wonder what has captured her attention. The green works well as a background, and also seems to give her hair green highlights. However, I find the background a little overexposed (especially the glare by her shoulder), and the foreground, particularly below head level, to be somewhat underexposed. Otherwise, great shot.
  1. It defintely looks like you burned/dodged the area around the bell. however, I think it works very nicely with the photo in drawing the viewer's focus to it, as well as creating a mysterious and ominous mood.

I agree w/ the comments about the bottle. I think the pic would work better w/o it. Also, I think the shadow on the left hand could be lessened. It creates a confusing perspective in that her it looks like her head should be on the right side of her chest...
  2. excellent shot. I really like the hugely contrasting scale of the child and the rock formation, and the sky is enigmatic. This photo could be even better if you could improve the exposure of the child, or zoom in slightly.

That is an absolutely incredible sunset! the colors and radiance are surreal. however, I think the small portion of the beach is a distraction from the sunset. Try cropping the image up to the tree in the foreground.

I love this photo--her poise, with her hip pushed outward in a very feminine expression, somewhat sassy, and how her skirt reveals her silky legs...wow! If there's anything to be improved, I would try different angles of her face, maybe showing more in the way of lips (it seems like only her lower lip is visible, which can add a pouty appeal, although something seems to be lost in the way of symmetry. Perhaps reveal her nose slightly.

    great job

  3. you should check out neat image pro, or another noise filtration program, because this picture could be incredible with some touching up. Also, I think the darker clouds in the lower left corner are a significant distraction. They seem to distort the contrast and sense of depth, as the tree standing out on the hillside. maybe you could lighten them in photoshop.

    but excellent shot!

  4. interesting picture. I'm not sure what you were going for, maybe that atmospheric heat distortion appearance, or looking up through water at a beach house. Either way, the colors have a nice balance to them.
