Critiques reciprocated when possible. Thanks for your comments!

It looks much more pleasant than the perceived smell. Regarding the composition, I like it very much. The slope from upper left to lower right with a gentle turn is nice, but I especially like the balance in shade between the lower left and the upper right. I think without the steam, this would not be nearly as strong. The highly saturated red, really makes it!! Nice find!

The one on the left looks kind of like one of the Fab 4.

Thanks Michael. I especially like the detail brought out by the dodging on the porch. It looks like you lightened the whole scene a touch in general. Thanks for your ideas.

Spending some time in outer space now Michael? As apparently a view from space was your goal, I'd say you succeeded brilliantly. I'm amazed at how much it does look like we are looking at the clouds from the opposite side from where we usually see them (not that one side of cloud should look much different than the other). Very nice indeed. The image itself acts as something to get lost in. I can't say I picture anything in particular while listening to the song... but it too is worth getting lost in... dum dum dum dum dum......... dum dum dum dum dum......... dum dum dum dum dum..........

Nice capture. The passer-by's general disintrest is what makes the photo interesting. I like the way you have put them "on stage" emphasized by the brighter lights and the higher position. Is that Paul?

Yes, I find this funny. Especially so as mentioned above when the knife was seen full size.

I like repetetive shots like this. I wonder what shooting from farther with a slightly sharper angle would do. This may also be fun to play with the contrast. Nice shot.

This is a nice moment you captured. Just as important however is the perfect composition you attained. I love the way all of the lines just bring you back into the center of the image. Well done.

Wow!! I woke up this morning to comments!! Many more than my other (more abastract) images have received recently. I will be around to each of your portfolios... I appreciate your thoughts. Randy, yup... looks like a rotation is in order. Ben... interesting suggestion. I kind of liked the warmth and sense of life offered by the lights in the bottom window. More importantly, I feel the leading line from the roof coming in from the top right corner is important and would be lost with the crop. What do you think?
This is about the smallest town I've ever been in. This was taken along Pine Creek in PA. The town (I'm blanking on the real name) only has about 5 or 6 more buildings in it. One of which is a general store that sells the best ice cream, and the other a small cabin that we stayed in for the weekend. The building on the right is a hotel.
Thanks again for the comments.

This is a very well done photo-montage. At first I wasn't sure about the centered aspect of the image, but in the end decided it was best. I like the trail of smoke that juxtaposes nature against the industrial reality of life that these men are escaping from. The bird may be a little too big to be believable. All in all a nicely conceptualized and executed image.

I'm surprised this one has not comments. It is one of my favorites in your folder. I really like how you sharpened the front and left us guessing in the background. The composition works for me. The symetry between the two objects is mysterious and the dissimilarity between them adds to the interest. Nice work.

Very nice composition and color. This is one of those times that centering a main object of focus really works out. Nicely done.
