A bit blown out, and the ps effects dont suit. Doesn't do anything attractive for her nipples, and the shadows with that filter look very ordinary. The lighting could be better utilised.

Composure isn't bad, but it's very messy. I could be called "Girl seated next to train tracks". It also seems to represent a bygone era, yet theres no attempt at making it look aged. Cramp your depth of field to bring your model out of the picture, not blending in so much.

You're both correct. It was shot at a slight angle. Something I origianlly didn't mind, but now brought to my attention, it does look a bit odd. Thanks for the comments.

Would love some thoughts.

I'm interested about the competition. What was the criteria? This is my favourite amongst the 3, it seems the most emotive. My only critism is the horizon matches the height of the chair, and the chair gets lost. Drop your angle to discern the two.

She really doesn't look happy. Would be well served by cloning out the reflections on her skin.

Sorry, looks like a plaster frieze on a wall. Dont like the angle. Apart from that, the pose and lighting is good, expression kind of odd, but i am left wondering what her hands are doing. (I know you said no comments about the crop)

I've done and seen lots of pregnancy photos, but this would be one of the best i've seen. If not, certainly my favourite.

I hope you paid her in Big Mac's. I'm not a fan of the eye contact with this pose. It says "look at me, I'm a paper clip" :-)
Lighting is also to uneven. Great idea, but the execution needs some work.

I love the tonal qualities. How did you get this look to her skin tones?
-
Awesome shot, lovely lighting. Only criticism, and I know this sounds strange, but her eye contact detracts from the serenity of the shot.

Thanks jim. Was looking for simplicity

Without equipment details, im only guessing, but it looks like you've used a wide angle lens, or at most a 50 mm. This gives the shot a slightly distorted view. (I do apologise to your daughter if you didn't)
I'm also not a big fan of the flatness of the tones, nor the darkness around the eyes. A bit of sparkle wouldn't have gone astray.

Beautiful tones, but the shadows show that the lighting was not always as it seemed, and that a lot of post production has taken place. This could be due to an initial mistake in the exposure, or the shot was always going to end up high key. All in all, this is a beautiful, soft photo, erotic yet not ribald, and very feminine.
-
You are kidding. Are either of you looking at the photo, or having a pull? Its very set up, skin tones look awful, and the sand is a bit over the top. Less is more.

"The medium is the message."
Never understood that remark, and even less with this snap.
Its just an average shot of a couple at a party. What is the message, on what medium?
Dont mean to be inflamatry, just dont understand.

It cracks me up. I think its a shocker, but love it at the same time! It reminds me of "The Mickey Mouse Club gone porn!" It makes her bum look silly, therefore her expression becomes a bit "tongue in cheek", her arms, missing as they are give the whole image a very deformed look.
This is just my personal opinion. Technically, its a fine photo.

Beautiful, feminine, artistically superb. Well done Haleh, your work with this model has been a joy to see. I'd like the right hand side of her shawl fully in frame, but then im being picky as well.

I love the tones and tension in this shot. Well done
Watching the Sunset

Umm...no...by the looks of the lighting, the sunset was behind her, and I think the optometric society would advise against watching anything to do with the sun through a monstrous pair of binoculars!
Looks like she's watching the boys jogging on the beach at sunset.
:-)
