I've developed my first roll of 120 film today. It was a roll of
Neopan 400. I've pre-wash the film as I do with 35mm and some really
purple water came out of the tank. I was very surprise as the water
from a Neopan 35mm is clear ... What is on the film for the water to
come out purple ?
Just curious ...
Thanks !

Hi there,
As far as i understand, the only difference between the 35S and 35Se
is that the 35S use a needle for the metering (top of the camera I
believe) while the SE use LED inside the viewfinder. I really like th
fact that the meter is on the top of the camera. You can meter, set
your sppeed, aperture, bring camera to eye level and shoot !! But I
really like LED cause they're more precise in my mind ...
What would you recommend ?? Could you share your experience with these
camera ?
Thanks !

Hi there,

I've just tried NeatImage 5.0 and I am very impressed by this piece of
software ! I've tried with some Ilford 3200 and it just blew me away
during my 10 min test ! I've written a small write-up on my experience
<a href=http://www.400iso.com/?page_id=91">HERE .. I
thought it could be useful to some people ...

Is anybody else using neatimage as part of their workflow ?

I'm with some of the member here ... Al, most of the shots your're showing us are either self portrait or picture of you taken by other people. Would it be possible to see something else from the 60's and 70's .. ? I'm not saying these pictures are not good but I think I'm at a point where I'm fed up with them ...
Fred
;Very PC today ...

Yes the light in the back comes from my kitchen. I believe it was lighted.
I'm off to drop my XP2 to the lab. More to come ...

"Put it in the Canon forum where it belongs." .. Ok Ted I'll think about it whenever Canon decide to come up with a new Rangefinder camera of their own. Right now I don't think it would interest owner of 20D and 5D.
Thanks Ted.

Hi there,
I'm the new owner of a Canon f/1.2 LTM lens. I'm using a voigtlander
adapter to use it on my MP and M3. I've written an initial report on
my website if you're interested in this lens. I had trouble finding
information on this lens and I thought it might help other to get an
opinion on it.
You can find the report <a

Hi there,
I guess it's going to be difficult to find the original hood for this
lens. What hood would you recommend ? Would any 55m hood do ?

Hi there,
As I acquire more gear, I'd like to insure them. I already have a home
owner insurance which cover against bruglary, fire etc. but it's not
going to cover my Leica if I drop them on the ground or things like
that. I can schedule individual item but they're asking for a receipt
or an appraisal of the item ... I don't have all the receipt handy.
Were do you think I can get my camera appraised ? Would a camera shop
do it a no cost ? Is there a better option for me to insure my gear
than scheduling them ?
Thanks for your advices.

Sanning medium format with flatbed
in The Digital Darkroom: Process, Technique & Printing
Posted
Hi there,
I'm scanning for the first time some medium format negatives on my
Epson 4490 flatbed. If I use the guide provided, I can scan 2 negs at
a time but if I just lay the negatives on the glass, I can scan 3 (I
have strips of 3 negatives). What is the advantages of using the
provided guide ? Looks like it does some kind of autoexposure but I
guess I can do that in photoshop after the scan. So is there really
benefits ? Do you think the negs is that much flatter on the glass
with the guide ?
Thanks for your help !
