  1. Thanks, Maris! I'll look into this. Expensive or not, a leaking bellows is not what I need!
  2. Good afternoon. I recently replaced the bellows on my Toyo 45CF and it seems to be fine. I'm going on a trip to Yosemite in the Fall and I was wondering if any of you have a recommendation of some material or tape I can carry with me in case a problem arises in the bellows. Should a cut or a leak of some other sort happen does anyone know of a temp fix I can have close by until I can get home? Thanks! Tom McCabe
  3. Thanks, Glen. I found it even more expensive at $92 for a 1 L bottle. Yoiks!! Ilford is really proud of it!
  4. Greetings! Has anyone had any experience with the L110 developer? It's supposed to be very close to HC-110. Any thoughts on it. HC-110 is starting to get a little expensive.
  5. Good evening. Just for information, I got a lithium batter for the meter today. The Duracell lithium 28L is the number. Seems fine! Tom McCabe
  6. Hi, Amanda. I'd stick with what Joe said about Evo-stik. I used Goop and it worked but I hope I never have to remove the bellows again!
  7. Gentlemen, once again you come through. Thank you all so much for the input!
  8. Good afternoon, all. I just received a Pentax Digital Spot Meter but it came without a battery. All the info I can find is confusing as I'm sure there were different versions of the meter depending on when it was manufactured. The SN is 110993 if that helps. I know it takes a 6V battery but which one...........? Anyone have some info that will help me? Thanks! Tom McCabe
  9. Hi, Amanda. I just replaced the bellows on my 45CF. It was one from China on ebay. I found Custom Bellows after I received the one from China. I had not run across etonephoto in my search. I'd sure love to know what you finally decided. Please be careful of the adhesive you use. I used Goop and God help me if I ever have to replace that bellows again! Good luck! Tom McCabe
  10. Good day, everyone. I'm replacing that bellows, and I got the old one off with no real issues. It was glued to the frame on both ends. Does anyone have any idea of the type of glue used? Or does it even matter? Thanks! Again!!
  11. Good afternoon. I have a friend with some 83 year old black and white wedding photos of her parents. They are curled up and she would like to scan them but is afraid of damaging the emulsions if she just uncurls them. My advice was to soak one of the prints in clean water and dry it with a blotting paper. Before she does so I thought I'd put the question out here for further thoughts. The prints are her parents wedding photos so they are precious. Does anyone have any experience with dealing with issues like this? Thanks!
  12. Thank you, Gentlemen. Stuart, great tip should the need arise. Amazon shipped and didn't state anything about a backorder but it's good to have alternatives.
  13. Follow up. It looks like Freestyle has HC-110, and I ordered it from Amazon, though I half expect Amazon to tell me it's backordered.
  14. Good afternoon. I'm finding HC-110 is getting difficult to find. Both Adorama and B&H are out of it and both have told me Kodak has given no timeline. I was looking at Legacy Pro L110. The notes on Freestyle indicate it's very close to HC-110. I've been using Dilution E and for the portraits I'm taking the negative densities have been ideal. Has anyone had any experience with Legacy Pro L110 developer? Thanks!
  15. Thanks, Andrew. I'll give that a look.
  16. Good afternoon. I received a new bellows for my Toyo 45CF and am looking for some instructions/information on replacing it. I'm just starting a pretty big project for which I have a deadline so I doubt I'll actually replace it sometime in the future. Does anyone out there have an instructional source so I don't screw this up too badly? A YouTube search didn't help. At least not yet.
  17. Thanks, Eric! It turns out some of the answers above were the solution. What I was seeing were debris much too large to have been in the film holder anyway. The culprit was the bellows. Vacuuming and wiping it clean solved the problem. I still clean and wipe the film holdes as well, whenever I load film. The hot water might help what ever dust lingers. Thanks!
  18. Thank you, gentlemen. Does anyone still do repairs on these lenses? My hands are just to shaky to do much delicate work.
  19. Good evening, All. I have a Graphic Kodak No. 3 Supermatic 152mm lens. The shutter is stiff and hangs up. I was just wondering if WD40 is a good thing to use or if there might be another lubricant better suited. Thanks!
  20. I found a company called etonephoto, probably in China, that offers a replacement bellows. Has anyone had any dealings with this company? I've also emailed Toyo directly and am waiting for an answer. Just curious about etonephoto. Thanks!
  21. Good afternoon, all. I'm planning to try some of the new version of HC-110. I plan to use Dilution E on 4x5 TXP in a Yankee Tank. With Dilution E I understand it's use and throw away. Will the number of sheets in the tank matter or is there a limit with Dilution E? Thanks!
  22. The film is available on Hulu, YouTube ($3.99), Google play ($3.99), Amazon Prime ($3.99) and Vudu ($4.99).
