I like this ... I'd like it without the text, but that does add complexity to the photo that works. I don't know why it works, it just does.

Great shot ! I've been fortunate to see whales quite a few times, but I've never had my camera handy. This is a unique shot ... different from the ordinary. The coloring is nice as well.

Would you believe this wasn't a posed shot? Shots like this are often preceeded by the phrase "Go look at your son." I learned to keep the camera handy.

Thanks ... actually this is a cropped shot. The original had lots of distracting activity to the right. I'll keep playing with it. Thanks for the excellent commentary. -
