Very, very nice shot. Love the colors and the contrasts. Bravo !!
-
Nice composition but suffers because of the lighting. (dark image and flat colors)
-
Interesting lighting ... however, I always end up suspecting that blurred images are generally 'accidents' that look cool rather than the a pre-planned exposure.
-
I wish it were clearer, but it is a good idea and capture.

I love the composition - it feels as if her eyes instantly lock on to you. I'd rate this much higher, but I do have to agree about the depth of field. The tip of her nose appears nearly out of focus compared to the sharpness of her eyes. Overall well done though !

This photo would have a better chance if it wasn't cropped - with the otehrs still in the picture. As it is, it feels butured.
-
If it wasn't in the title, I wouldn't have noticed the man at all. It is still a reasonably nice composition

I'm normally not much of a fan of the 'blurred' look - but it sure works here! I love the eyes and the set of her mouth. Well done !

Wonderful composition. I'd prefer a bit better lighting ...
-
Good choice of coloring - works well here

I think in this case that the frame color detracts form the vibrant colors of the flower. I like the composition
-
Yes, it surely does look as if it was a magical morning. Well done !
-
Fine picture. Boy does that boat bring back some memories of Thailand !

This is one of my favorites on photo.net. I hesitate to suggest any improvement, but perhaps cropping out whatever that is on the bottom right ... Very well done !!!!
-
I'd crop the top part of this shot. All the drama in this shot is in the girl's face - the extra space at the top is distracting
-
Yes, handheld it was. I remember regretting being too lazy that morning to carry that darn tripod !
-
Yes, that is indeed the definition... However, impressionism had a focus (no pun intended) - it was an impression of something tangible. Perhaps a cafe scene, a meal, etc. The impression this leaves me with is that the photographer has tripped and is falling forward and to the left.
Now, having said that ... keep shooting. It may be very hard to pull off using a photo, but the idea has merit and should be pursued.

As always, thank you for your comments!

Can't explain why I like this - there's nothing particularly compelling about a cattle chute. Yet, whether its the color or the light or the composition, I feel as if I know this place. And isn't that what we are trying to accomplish? Well done.

Yes, certainly better
-
In my opinion, poor impressionism.

As former sailor, I really like this shot. Well done !

Consider cropping the camper out of the picture, unless you feel it plays an integral part in the composition. From the tree tops up it is a very nice shot
