Focus, focus, focus ... you can't expect your viewers to be psychic. Even if your photo is intended not so much to portray a specific image as to provoke an emotion, you must provide more clues as to what your purpose might be. Sometimes a title helps us see what you intended, but in this case there is precious little. Keep working at it though !

Looks as if either the camera was jarred when taking the photo, or you are making some kind of political commentary. (blurred/out of focus). While I', sure the trees in the foreground are intended to frame the shot, i find them distracting as they detract from the grandeur of the building. By the way - I'm intensely jealous of your vacation(s) - looks like a lot of fun!

This would have been a lovely tranquil work if he had been walking along, head down with hands in pocket... but his stance adds tension which raises this to another level. Perfect symmetry? ... no. But for me, that's what makes this special.

Very nicely done. I can't quite put it into words, but feel that this photo captures much about their relationship and the moment. Congratulations

Wonderful use of light and shadow!

Such tight cropping can be a disaster, but you have done it well.

What a wonderful shot ! It brings back a serious rush of memories ... One of my friends had always had a beard - his wife and kids had never seen him without one. When we returned from a 6 month deployment he had been forced to shave. His family walked right by him without recognizing him ... Again, very well done

Very nicely done! I'll really appreciate this photo in July...when it is sweltering outside.

Funny, I keep hearing the theme from Caddyshack everytime I look at this picture - even though I know that critter wasn't a squirrel. Wonderful work!

Would have been much more interesting if they had been real flowers.

Ah, nothing like a controversial subject to get some response. But, I'll focus on the photo rather than the yahoo who is the subject. Good composition, but the other person in the shot detracts from it significantly. Perhaps you could have moved around a bit to get a more unobstructed view.

It would have been nice if you could have moved a bit to avoid what appears to be a church steeple, since it does not play an integral role in the shot and is distracting. The other alternative would have been to back up and include more of it - making it an integral component.
Wonderful colors and provides a very strong feeling of space in the shot.

How wonderful ! Boy, do I ever miss my chocolat lab ... thanks for providing an unexpected rush of warm memories. Very well done.

Absolutely wonderful. The composition is great and it packs an emotional punch. Very well done.

Wonderful composition - with both vertical and horizontal elements nicely balanced. Very well done

I'd suggest cropping down to just the mirror. The stuff outside the mirror is distracting - nice idea though
-
The blur is quite bad - I'm assuming this was handheld. If so, a tripod would have helped. This is an interesting idea .

Way too red for me
-
Nice idea composition - wise, but suffers from inadequate lighting and very soft focusing.

Colors a bit washed out, and the cropping of her right arm (left of the photo)is distracting. The hand to the mouth is also distracting. Still a good picture though

What a wonderful and touching picture !! I have friends who have kids 'with special needs', and know very well how exasperating and emotionally draining things can get. This picture may not win awards, but to Mom and Dad I bet it means everything ... capturing, as you say, that special beauty. Very well done indeed !!!!!
