That's a cattle egret. Not native to North America; they were brought here. In my community, they have become pests, nesting in residential areas, and turning roofs and sidewalk white with their excrement. Pretty birds, though:

The ultimate sleeper. I see a design flaw, though. If you got on that one with the windows rolled up, it would buckle the sheet metal when the blower kicked in. -

I was the sponsor for a photo club in a public school. Few kids had the money for Lightroom and other software. So I learned, GIMP and RawTherapee, and Luminance, and the others. Yes, it takes a little more time, but you can get very good results with these.
