Hard to capture, great action shot!
-
Good shot in difficult light conditions.

Living in Hawaii is an unfair advantage for a photographer :-)
Just kidding; well done!

Great light!

This was a typical grey (and very wet) London day too. Usually night shots are OK in this kind of weather. I also made some motion blur shots of buses and taxis.

Nice action shot. Well metered!

Stefano, Kodak Gold is a very good and inexpensive film. The drawback is the fact that you need a good print service to ge the result. Therefore I mostly use Fuji slide film, with Fuji Provia 100F being my favourite, because it's so versatile (it can easily be pushed to 400 ISO). If I want to save money for a photoshoot I often use Fuji Sensia 100, which comes in 5 packs at a very attractive price and is a very good film too.
Thanks for the compliments on the photo.

You could try even longer exposure times for a more dramatic effect without visible objects in the background.

The exposure is spot on. The image is not very sharp, but that's probably the result of scanning.
Composition is nice too.
Try Fuji Provia 100F or Sensia 100 next time for better colour reproduction and sharpness. Don't forget to add approximately one stop to compensate for film sensitivity loss during long exposures (> 10 seconds).

A perfect and original capture!
(I was in London last weekend, but unfortunately it rained when visiting the Millenium bridge)

Dolphins are one of the most difficult subjects. They are very agile, impatient and always moving.
Be prepared to spend endless rolls of film to get a few good shot.
This is a good attempt!

Very nice composition, although the colours look a little artificial. Did you alter it in PS?
Would love to see the original as well.

A travel image that inspires! Well done.
-
Very original and technically well executed!

A very strong image Laura! One of your best!

Perfect caption of action combined with great colours!

Brilliant photo, but can you tell me why the star trails are oval and not round?
-
Excellent stuff Mark!
-
Amazing what you can do with so little equipment!
-
Wow, you were at the right spot at the right time!
Well composed too.

Taking pictures on dark winter days in Northern Europe is a difficult taks, but this is a perfect example of what can be achieved with a little creativity.

Another one with legs for Marc...
