1.
Really worth the bother of putting on your camera?

Sony, Fuji, Olympus, have quality lenses....so, why bother with yesteryear lenses? lost in time lenses.

What really have they got to offer these old, back in time, lenses. Just for the oldie folk.....lost in a dream/fantasy of yesteryear and some special magic that these lenses can do>

 2.
I like to play with the children. A lot.

But then , sometimes, I like to talk to the Gods.

 3.
Often Philosophy can be lost in fantasy losing touch with reality.

"The speeding train of thought flashes by and suddenly you are released back into space and time by a force that moves your life forward …as if struck by an idea."

The moment is concerned with a lack of space in a an undulating reality lost in a uncrowned truth.

The truth is not concerned but seeks an unconditional response to the banal of a lost secant of time.
Easily understandable to a mind of a purity which is is proud to open itself to indulge itself in a moment of sublime seventy.

Three things in life are destructive :

Anger, greed, and self esteem.

Just a few thoughts.

 4.
"What's your take on yourself when in public as compared to when in private, and on the people that you see and photograph in public?"

Private is the candid photograph. A reality.

 5.
If scissors are not used daily on the beard it will not be long before the beard is, by its luxuriant growth, pretending to be the head.

 6.
"It seems as though every Tom, Dick, and Harry with a DSLR or a EVF camera out there snapping strangers"

Not in my part of the world. Rarely do I come across another street photographer...sort of feel lonely sometimes.

Among the Tom, Dick, and Harry will emerge talent which we can all enjoy....the more the merrier.

"and the folks with cameras bugged me no end, not because they were simply doing something which I had the option of ignoring but because they were rude, obtrusive, and clueless about the space of the other" Fred.

I was asked recently to take candid photos at a wedding. What a challenge the couple were mobbed by folks with cell phones/ps cameras....the shoulder barging would have done credit to a rugby team. Hey, the fairer sex were the main culprits and had the sharpest elbows.

So, I take Fred's point.

.

 7.
I agee with Bela. Fuji are all about strong colours on any of their cams.

"Ken Rockwell is nothing short of a buffoon. I have nothing to add."

Just bad manners to call someone names when they are not here to defend themselves.

 8.
"A photo does not need words...it has its own words."

"That's fine for the passive audience, the true believers, the rubes and marks, or even the dilettantes like the apocryphal story of the emperor chiding Mozart over "too many notes"

Okay, I'm lost in space here particularly the thing about "rubes and marks". But they must be bad folk so I would want to avoid them. Hey, dude you are a rube and a mark...scary Al Capone stuff.

A photo talks a thousand words but a thousand words cannot talk a photo.

A good photo stands alone but to discuss, analysis...all good stuff... where have I said any different?
