1.
Yes, Jerry, I took the battery out with no change.
Is there a two button reset to return camera to factory settings?
Very frustrating as body is just a bit older than one year!
Not a good statement for Olympus.

 2.
All of a sudden my Olympus omd em1 only shows a live view, nothing in viewfinder and shutter won't shut nor will menu show nor can I do anything whatsoever with the camera. I can remove lens with no problem but cannot use the camera at all.
Help wanted!

 3.
I'd like to use my Nikon sb-910 strobe off camera body with my Olympus omd em1 but I can't seem to find the correct setting on the sb-910. I have the body set to 'rc mode on' with the small flash unit that came with the body attached to the hot shoe. (I also own the Olympus fl-300R flash if need be.) I set the sb-910 switch to 'remote' and then press 'menu' and rotate dial until 'wireless' comes up. I press ok and then on the right side of screen I rotate dial to go to 'SU-4'. An option came up to set lens length and power (1, 1/32, 1/64, etc.)but that does not come up all the time. When I had it set to 1/128, the light was overpowering and image total overexposure. Any help PLEASE on how to set the flash and the body for off body wireless shooting? Thank you.

 4.
Just figured it out via the Olympus website. Seems to me the manual could have been a bit more specific as to how to slide the lens focus ring forward or towards body to set on auto or manual focus. Quite frustrating but now the problem is solved and I can get to work with this lightweight baby purchased for travel.

 5.
My Photoshop cs3 is not doing many tasks such as deleting images, renaming, moving to different folder, cut/paste, etc. Problem started a few weeks ago when images were not auto straightened to portrait as shot.
Do you think I should try uninstalling and then reinstalling to solve the problems? Any other suggestions? Yes, I know, buy the updated version now at full price.
Also, I just bought Olympus OMD em 1 and am not sure if CS3 will process images from this body or if I can convert nef into dng with adobe camera raw 4.4 converter for editing.
Thanks for any advice.

 6.
All of a sudden my CS3 version of Photoshop is not automatically correcting the orientation of photos shot in vertical. Obviously in a shoot of 500 images it is time consuming to go through each photo or groups and correct the orientation. And then if I do correct the orientation manually in bridge, the clockwise doesn't work and the counterclockwise arrow spins image clockwise and then counterclockwise to get to the proper orientation. Furthermore, after correcting orientation manually, when I close out program and then go back to program later, the orientation is incorrect again. Any suggestions how to correct this problem other than buying the latest version? Oh, if it makes a difference, I'm using a Nikon D-300 and shooting in raw. I converted the images from NEF to DNG in Adobe camera raw 4.4 DNG converter. Thank you for help.

 7.
Thanks to both of you gentlemen. Now I know the two methods for adjusting image quality.
As I am used to the autofocus in-focus beep in my Nikons, I am not sure if I am in focus when I press the shutter release 1/2 way. Is there a setting for a beep sound when image is in focus or must I look for the dot on the bottom left of screen which I think I read about in the online manual?
Thanks again for help and any future advice!

 8.
SB-800 not functioning with corrosion on one terminal from battery sitting.
I scraped the terminals both on the 5th battery holder and the one corroded terminal inside battery compartment but flash still does not work. Turns on screen with what appears to be a few reeds (vertical lines) running from bottom of screen upwards. Manual settings shown on bottom right of screen and speedlight will fire when button pushed on unit but not when attached to d300 body or on commander mode.
Tried 2 button reset but to no avail. Any ideas?

 9.
Using Photoshop cs3 and bridge 4.0. Uploading images with keywords/metadata/titles to online microstock agency sites and no info goes along on the FTP or using drag/drop to some of the sites. In order to get the keyword/title/description info to go with the images via ftp or drag/drop, I must reopen image which opens from bridge to camera raw 4.0 to photoshops cs3. Then I must close/save as jpeg, replace the same file in the same original location and only then when I upload again does the info go along with the image.
What settings must I change to have images go through with only one 'save as' from photoshop cs3?
Thanks for help.

 10.
Matt/Jim: Thank you both for your answers. Your efforts are much appreciated.
Jim: Great use of a ND filter in your cow photo. Beautiful image.
Matt: Wow! I am totally impressed with your gallery of field dog pix. Absolutely fantastic work which I know takes a lot of skill to accomplish.

 11.
Nikon D300. How do I know when my image is enlarged to 100% on the monitor when I press the left side button to enlarge the image to check focus? I want to expand to 100% as I do when editing pix in my photoshop cs3 program.
Thanks for any response.

 12.
I shoot food on my worldwide travels with only one Nikon sb-800 flash. I would like to get the results as seen in Brooks' photo of a fancy hamburger where the background is out of focus and overexposed by a stop or two. This is a typical type food style that one sees in magazines and newspapers all the time, in my opinion. As of now, my food pix sell every day on microstock but I would like to get jobs with food magazines and newspapers and the style with overexposed backgrounds seems to be the most common food image I see in periodicals.
Any suggestions as to how to get a result like that with only one flash off camera? (I travel light and don't want to travel with an extra speedlight.) Expose for the subject (the food) and overexpose the background by dragging the shutter? Usually I use my flash ttl off camera body wireless. Perhaps off camera set to aperture of a meter reading of food with body set on manual with shutter dragged. Would that overexpose the background but not the food? My food photography can be seen on my website by searching my name: rj lerich.
Thanks for any ideas/suggestions/input.

 13.
Yes, Peter, that's correct. I am editing my own images and adding keywords, description and my own copyright. There is a drop down menu and old entries are in there. Those are the ones I want to delete. I looked at someone's photo in ps and she must have had something built into her photo that added her copyright to my drop down menu of copyright choices. I want to delete her copyright and all my older ones.

 14.
Mendel: I guess I didn't make myself perfectly clear. I'm NOT trying to remove copyright from someone else's image. I inspected someone else's photo in my photoshop cs3 and somehow THEIR copyright info is now included in the drop down menu under copyright (along with mine that go back 5 years which I no longer need to choose from). From either bridge or photoshop: file info>copyright notice>drop down menu includes the name of the other photog whose pic I looked at in the program. Also, my copyrights are there that say "rjlerich 2005, rjlerich 2006" and so on, which I don't need anymore in the the drop down as I am no longer editing photos other than current 2013 pix.

Peter: I guess I have "read write" as it's my computer and they are my photos.
In the drop down menu, I do select the pertinent copyright. As stated to Mendel above, I just want to eliminate all the older ones and certainly don't want someone else in my list for fear of mistakenly adding their copyright notice to my pic.
I imagine if I remove the program from the computer and install again, this might delete the embedded drop down info but it also, I believe, deletes my written actions (which I don't want to have to write again).
Ok, any more help for this annoyance is appreciated.

 15.
Matt, "You can also use the completely free View NX2 from Nikon, which knows how to read the D800's NEF files, and will let you non-destructively edit exposure, white balance, contrast, etc ... and export the results as JPGs, TIFs, or just leave them as updated NEFs. Did I mention it was free?"
Do you know if I install the NX2 will I still be able to edit my D300 pics in my old method with DNG converter? Would like to have the D800 as a backup tomorrow but would not like to have to edit D300 images in a new manner until I learn how to do so.
