i like this photo. you titled it very appropriately. the gentleman sitting in calmness is what strikes me most, as lines captured in such a small area are very chaotic to the mind.
i'm not sure i can give you the technical feedback you're probably seeking. all i can give you is.... this piece appeals to me.

i'm on the same page as the above, Lizzie. My first and only thought is of Windows XP. The tree adds a new element to XP photo. are you considering for submitting to Microsoft Corp for use with the next version?
i like the lineal composition and the rich color. i'm not sure of your editing options, but i'd like to see the tree "pop" a little more. that'd help for me.

i like this one very much. did you also do the family photo on the beach in a sepia tone? i'm a big fan of sepia.
very well taken photo, wayne!

i wish to learn this technique. one day, if you give me a clue, i'd be appreciative.
sincerely,

i left you a comment on a recent upload of yours. i couldn't resist the temptation to see more of what you like to shoot.
this one really stood out for me. almost perfectly balanced, in my opinion.
very nice work!

Nice composition. I'd suggest cropping a little off the top and bottom, but overall, I like the balance within.
Very well captured!
-
Very pretty. Have you experimented with a tighter crop? Just curious. This would be a nice pano if it balances well.

The light conditions stole my breath at first glance. The detail in this photo is exquisite, for me. At first, I wanted to crop part of the bottom, but I don't wish to sacrifice the reflection of the sails in the water. Everything connects so well in this photo.

This is a wonderful tool for teaching art and science go hand in hand!!! Very creative use of talent!

I still love these cows! Nice use of sepia tones!

Now, this is just cool! Really enjoy the symmetrical element!!!!

Your ability to see is excellent! I much enjoyed this photo for the human element that is so obvious. All of your photo's reflect great attention to detail, and are very well thoughtout, though some I'm sure are candid. This is where you're obvious talent, technical knowledge and experience are great assets to carry.
I will learn from visiting. Thank you for sharing your work.

lovely..........

I found my eyes to be mezmerized by the multiple occular sensations my brain experienced the longer I studied this photo. The realism is intriguing, for me.
The depth, the 3-D affect, the infrared quality from the development process used, the clear attention to detail in the editing and creation process of this peice is lifelike in one aspect and photoart in another aspect. The moon merely enhanced the optical illusion for me.
I am quite pleasantly entranced, entertained and envious of the creative mind behind the piece. I will covet thy work for just a bit longer before sincerely repenting and walking away.

I like the time and detail put into this piece. However, it does come across as a bit overdone. The sky jumped out at me first, very kewl affect, then the grill on the truck. Everything else, for me, is lost in the overall photo art.
At the same time, I think this would be an awesome cover for a southern rock or country music CD.
Well done!!!!

Sweeeeeet! Crack time! Very fun photo to view! Brings a smile to my face. Thanks for not zooming in or adjusting the lighting. It might have been too much. :-)
-
I like the symetrical aspects you've allowed in this photo. Nice work!
-
I like the symetry in this photo. Circles and lines work well. The droplets are very sharp.
It doesn't grab me on a artist level as I'd like with a photo. Still, a good photo. Cropping could be a plus for this one. Bring it tighter in towards the heart of the subject where the DOF is best.

Waskily wabbits!
Good wabbit shot. Zoom in more, crop tighter and adjust settings to allow for the bunny to stand appear sharper than its' surroundings. However, try to keep the wild flowers. Nice touch!
Good job but let's take it to the next level on the next one.

I'm gonna be honest. Please don't take it personally. Use what you will to grow. I'm still learning and you'll be slinging right back at me, I'm sure. And, I expect as much from a fellow PN'r. :-)
The harsh lighting is not favorable for sharpness of detail and the water is too active to allow for a good detailed reflection which might play off the lighting conditions of the subject. I love wild ducks and understand why they make a great subject for photographing.
For me, I try to consider the time of day, light conditions, calmness of water or ability of camera equipment to compensate for shortcomings of conditions. Visit my portfolio to see some of my successes and failures. You'll appreciate that I have walked this path much.
Best of luck with future attempts at our feathery friends. :-)

this one needs some enhancement in my opinion. do you have a photo editing program? i'd adjust the tones. try to bring more of the seals face into view more clearly. then i'd seek out more feedback from other PN viewers.
i'd like to see what you can do for this one, bryan!
