exquisite, the special effects create a fabulous mood, substantial and contemplative.

no, babel fish! (thanks for being a good sport, I got a good laugh working on the translation while helping my son with his grammar homework -- I can barely write english, let alone french, without help!)
Translation -- "Symmetry is a complexity-reducing concept (co-routines include subroutines); seek it everywhere."

fantastic moment, well rendered colors, great isolation, but the top of the head seems a little, not sure, maybe over sharpened?.

i agree with so many above, this turns a simple subject into something playful and elegant (with these tones especially), its quite inspiring and stylish.

thanks Susan, you ain't too shabby yourself.

attractive composition, pretty colors.

good moment, but the flash kills it for me, as the shadowing and harsh differences in lighting take away from the atmosphere. not sure what camera/lens you are using, but consider getting a "fast" lens if you like this shooting a lot. it helps to be able to freeze the action without a flash or with minimal flash. i use lenses that let me get to at least 2.8 aperture and preferably 1.8 for indoor kids gyms.

marc, a very elegant photo, enjoyable composition and a well captured subject, love the light on her face and pose, and the use of the window as a background. one suggestion, there's a fair amount of grain. without judging it, as it is certainly a valued part of such documentary photos, i offer the suggestion that you try software like neat image if you want to smooth out the grain. i use a free downloadable demo that i got from their site when i want to do that. works pretty well.

very cool, can't recall seeing something like this before, and it is very well rendered. thanks for sharing it.

to me, part of the charm of the photo is the weather beaten quality of the original shot. at first glance, john's version is prettier, at second glance, linda's original more satisfying to me. i agreed with susan's first comment, which seems to have disappeared.

Hi Kim, it has a very gentle feel to it, so the title made great sense to me when i opened it up.

terrific tones and clarity, a wonderfully captured small expression that resonates well.

you are doing great al, the colors and tones are very nice. i like to play with images like this, to try different compositions and tones and tints and croppings, to give alternative takes -- here i'd consider a tighter crop with much to the right of the animal eliminated.

yes, you have proven her wrong! like the composition, particularly the use of the curving hair o the right side. such a strong, beautiful face! a couple of things -- you might want to check out neat image, its software, there's a free downloadable demo that I use, that helps to smooth out the image a little, particularly if you sharpen, which it looks like you may have done a little here. also, i like to play with images like this in black and whites and with tints. it helps me manipulate the tonal ranges more, and its just fun to try.

outstanding, great clarity, perfect control of the tones, enjoyable composition, fine expression, great light -- really a pleasure to see such a distillation of various things you have tried over the past two years in this photo.

unusual candid! like your style -- to be treasured around here, a smart, stylish street and candids photographer. suggest here cropping away the equipment on the right, or including it more, its an awkward crop as is.

cute idea, and lovely colors (nice flat light has kept the glare to a minimum too). my suggestion is to crop down to create a more abstracted view, say by going to below the leg openings.
