This image was posted before in a smaller version. This is Navajo
Life.

Overexposed the sky, masked in the darkroom (classical one...) for the trees. Took a number of tries to get it right.

Thank you all for the comments. Helps me progres.

Yes, this is most surely art. And it looks great. Are we discussing here photoshop productions as photography? I do not think so. So this is art but not photography. Try art.net.

Leping, most of your pictures are on the nice side. This one... is not one of the nice ones, to say the least. Bryce Canyon is a place you can do more than taking snapshots from the trail.

Lovely, except for the washed out LLC.

Posed or not, payed for or not, I still like this image. The important thing in a photograph is the story. Does the image tell you something? If it does, than it is good enough. Then you can go down the technicality slope and see what could have been done differently. Nice shot.

Michael, you got the localization perfectly.
Eugene, my timer goes up to about 30 sec. I am not that fast, man... ;o)

Pretty nice image. The centered composition bothers me a little, and I would have liked to see a few people better separated from the crowd, not easy to do, though. Very nice.

This is a very nice image. The only thing I do not like about it is the lack of the right hand. It is cut by the left border in a way that breaks the picture, IMHO. Otherwise, nicely done.

I have to say, you did get the sun at the exact right moment... Very well done.

Not only I have to agree with Chris, but there is more to say here. The image is reasonable in the general aspect, or what is probably considered estetics by the photo.net admins. The "cleverness" aspect is... well, can be improved. Part of the light box is visible in a bothering way on the left upper border, the upper third of the image is dark and without any detail ad the lightened white "table" the models sit on: there is no detail, the white is totally broken. Maybe I am a tad to classic in my approach, but this image is so imperfect I have trouble understanding it. The previous image is way different, and most of the imperfections I see in this one become strong points in the other one. 4/3 for this one, 7/7 for the other one.

This is a nice image. Besides the green cast, which I agree with, the branch and the leaves in the upper left corner are pretty distracting. Otherwise, nice shot.

Beautiful picture. Nicely done.

Thank you all for the comments and the ratings. The picture was taken around 07:30 at a very low shutter speed (about 16 seconds) with a borrowed 20mm lens. The blue hue comes from the sky reflection in the water. Both this and the previous "Water 1" are taken a few yards apart on the same stream in Indiana.

Really very nice image. I love the way you solved the exposure problem. No comment about the framing. Very well done.
