Yes, this is most surely art. And it looks great. Are we discussing here photoshop productions as photography? I do not think so. So this is art but not photography. Try art.net.

Ian, the water is generally blue. I sometimes agree the use of a filter may be helpful, but I do not agree in this case. The warm filter is not something I would use lightly.
  1. Leping, most of your pictures are on the nice side. This one... is not one of the nice ones, to say the least. Bryce Canyon is a place you can do more than taking snapshots from the trail.

Posed or not, payed for or not, I still like this image. The important thing in a photograph is the story. Does the image tell you something? If it does, than it is good enough. Then you can go down the technicality slope and see what could have been done differently. Nice shot.

This is a very nice image. The only thing I do not like about it is the lack of the right hand. It is cut by the left border in a way that breaks the picture, IMHO. Otherwise, nicely done.
  2. Not only I have to agree with Chris, but there is more to say here. The image is reasonable in the general aspect, or what is probably considered estetics by the photo.net admins. The "cleverness" aspect is... well, can be improved. Part of the light box is visible in a bothering way on the left upper border, the upper third of the image is dark and without any detail ad the lightened white "table" the models sit on: there is no detail, the white is totally broken. Maybe I am a tad to classic in my approach, but this image is so imperfect I have trouble understanding it. The previous image is way different, and most of the imperfections I see in this one become strong points in the other one. 4/3 for this one, 7/7 for the other one.

The picture was taken around 07:30 at a very low shutter speed (about 16 seconds) with a borrowed 20mm lens. The blue hue comes from the sky reflection in the water. Both this and the next "Water Symphony 2" are taken a few yards apart on the same stream in Indiana.
