Shot from the boar on a Michigan lake.

No, there's no connection between the car and the diner. The car is mine. I parked it at the diner to shoot it.

Great shot. You nailed this. Love the limited depth of field. It must have been shot with a very long lens.

Two flash units firing into reflectors as main lights. A handheld flash with snorkel to
illuminate the glass and the liquid therein.

A great image. I love the stark contrast. Did you clone in the reflection of the stem? My only nit is that the lower part of the stem seems to dissolve to a softness. I feel as though I'd like to see the stem continue as crisp and contrasty as it is up near the bowl. But it's a fabulous photo. Contratulations.

Great composition and framing. The model adds interest and intrigue. Nicely done.

Hi Toby,
Backlit photos are always less saturated. But the transparency of the yellow leaves made it an interesting subject in my opinion. Front lit, highly saturated photos of this plant arevery ordinary. I prefer to look at things in a different light.

A backlit bird of paradise. Shot in Santa Monica's oceanside park with sky as
the background.

Interesting shot. I love the way many of the passengers appear to be looking at the same thing. The juxtaposition of the lively graphics and the elderly passengers is also very nice. Good work.

My blind uncle Einar on his porch in Sweden, March 1980. Shot with a Fuji

Very nice. Is this shot in an aquarium. With a polarizer? With flash? How do you do it? In any case, good work.

This one caught my attention. Very graphic. A beautiful study of design and shape. Great colors. Excellent lighting. Nice work, Joan.

I'm intrigued by the color and the texture. And you've framed it all in an unusual manner. Good work.

By the way, I wanted to rate this, but the Photo.net wouldn't respond. However, I would give it a 7/7. It's certainly one of the most interesting and most beautiful shots I've evr seen here.

Stunning. It looks like a painting from afar. Beautiful composition. Love it.

Very nice. I tried for a similar shot during my Paris walkaround but failed to find a good composition. You succeeded.

Great composition and framing. I also like the somewhat muted colors and subtle contrast. Nice work.

Great fun.
That's one of the benefits of a Leica rangefinder: It's quiet and inconspicuous enough to enable photography in places where it's prohibited.

Thanks Csab'
I agree. I just printed it in BW for a gallery show.
