I shot this twenty-some years ago with my Speed Graphic. It is all on the film

and unmanipulated. A 3200 dpi scan of the 4x5 neg yielded a 490 megabyte

file. It prints quite nicely.

Hi Andrea,

I can easily brighten up the bread in PhotoShop, but I wanted it to be subtle. The emphasis is on the backlight that pushes through the wine. It's a matter of balance and intent.

This ride moved fast and violently. The continuous autofocus of the Pentax *ist

D kept up. After thirty years of shooting only manual focus I'm becoming a

A nice composition. I'd like to see what you could do with a better camera. Delete the soft images on your page, like the one from Cincinnati. Keep working, you have a good eye and good instincts.

I shoot cars for magaines, and I can tell you that this is a great car shot. I would have given it a 7/7 if you had cloned out that white tree trunk growing out of the roof. The car is insignificant, but the shot is very good. Congratulations.
