Lovely study!

This was taken this spring, but my scanner has been offline till now!

It would be impossible to get any more colour into the sky without

manipulation, which this has none!

yea, i rushed this to get it on the web.I was just so excited by the factt that i had become a dad, i wanted everyone to see her!

and its my first baby!

I hate to se trees felled and I came across these mixed group, all

felled unnecesarrily(Healthy mature or semi mature trees)

I noticed they had ben crossed and I decided to highlight the crosses

in red to make a statement.

This was photographed by sticking a 50mm onto the end of my macro

lens to give 2X lifesize.Its the tiny new shoot of a peanut plant.

Very cool, reminds me of when i was a kid and the windows would freeze in winter!

an excellent photo, the pose is very good.

I turned around and saw these long shadows across the wet tarmac.I

shot into the sun with the 50mm f1.8 and no glare in sight! Lucky.

a simple shot this, straight into the sun with a 50mm lens! I reckon

if I'd used a zoom I'd have had problems with flare, but I got away

with it!

this is very good, i like the radiating circles on the ice which echo the spreading out of the reeds!

I took a simialr shot in b/w last winter!

I agree with G and also will say that the colours clash. Red amd orange, too much!

Unfortunately It is a one off as it was done at college using chemicals and I only had the one print to work on. It took ages for any efect to happen, at first i didnt think it was going to work, but it did quite nicely!

I found this in the hedgereow, photographed it on b/w film and then

printed it at college. I then later had a go at sepia toning(never

tried it before!) and this is the result.

I think the tone suits the subject-wood!

An excellent set of photos, we can only aspire to do as well!

This is really good, you should be proud of this one! The sunbird seems to be using a parasol to shade from the sun, nice one!

This is a farmer's gate with its shadow cast on the ground. But I saw

it as an abstract image, a study in line and form.Better in mono?

Yes, that works well, better than photos that I have taken in that style.The light is always gonna be a bit flat whern its raining,and maybe b/w would be better, but you need some colour to give an impressionist feel.

i agree with henryk about the frame,looks sloppy, but a great photo!

I really like the potential of this shot, but something is lacking.BTW, the reflected part is by far the more interesting part and would make a cracking image on its own I reckon!
