Beautiful colors and the background looks like it has been done with water colors, very nice!
  2. Pentax DA 50/1.8 seems to have plastic mount. I have used it for three years now, no problems with the mount, but I'm not swapping lenses everyday, and very seldom I do it at outdoor situations, I think flying sand dust & dirt particles might land on the mount and start to scratch the plastic mount. Although this lens do not have the same feeling than older MF lenses, it produces very good images.
  3. That portrait photo seems to be ok, the problem seems to be on some of my older photos which are about 640-800 pixels wide, the contest page seems to strecth them a little bit and sharpness decreases a little bit. For example, this bokeh contest photo ( autumn lights | Photo.net ) is quite small originally, but on the contest page it seems to be a little bit bigger. I did a comparison by opening two browser windows, the photo is bigger on the contest page than on the normal page.
  4. Thanks! I have been here many years and I can also recognize lots of photographers from those small thumbnail photos. Your flower/macro photos are also quite easy to identify.
  5. When I click my photos I selected for the contests, it seems to stretch the original photo to fit the page somehow, they do not seem to be sharp, when I click the photo title, then the normal page is shown with the original photo size and the photo looks sharp. I think it should show the photo with the original dimensions.
  6. Do you still use old mf lenses with your digital body? I think it's cool to be able to use old lenses with a digital camera. What lens is your favourite? Here's my favourite, I have taken hundreds of photos with this Pancolar lens. I really like the bokeh it creates.

Beautiful light and autumn colors in the background and the bokeh looks good, too.
  8. Very nice! This could look good as b&w version, too?
