I just sent mine in for repair. I've had it since 1999. I wouldn't have done it if I thought that it wasn't a great camera.

I just took my F100 into the shop for repair. I purchased the camera brand new back in 1999. The camera back wouldn't close on it and the camera remained on in the "Off" position. I attempted to purchase a new back on my own but found it impossible to do with the games going on by Nikon. Today I called up and found out a complete repair will cost me $180. I didn't consider that a bad price at all.

The finder blind would not close and the diopter adjustment would not work. Altogether with a cleaning, the repair cost me $175. I'm thinking this happened from sweat buildup on the camera. I've shot a lot of pictures with it. Did this ever happen to anyone else?

I've got this problem as well.

Is there any way to use a Nikon SB80DX withe the Nikon CLS system. Right now I have a D700, 2 SB900's and 2 SB80DX's. if the SB80's are useless with the CLS system, I was considering ebaying them.

What's the difference between theses 2 ? Both are transceivers. Only thing I can see is more of a channel selection on the MultiMAX and a difference in distance.

This is going to be my first one. It's not taking place in a church or chapel But at a music venue club in NYC. I plan on using a Nikon D700. And will bring along an SB 900, 20mm f/2.8, a 28-70mm f/2.8, 70 - 200mm f/2.8 and a 50mm f/1.8. Will I be OK with this equipment? Ant recommendations on an other equipment I should use?

I solved the problem and it cost me nothing.

It looks like Arca Swiss is the way to go. Is a double pan model really necessary? I just saw a SP on B&H's site for a lot less than what a DP costs

An anti twist plate is not available from Gitzo

I'm having a problem with creeping when I use this head with my Nikon D700 and the 28-70 F/2.8 lens. When I place the camera in the vertical position, the camera and lens creep down due to gravity and weight. This has become a huge problem since I shoot often at night doing time exposure. I was told that an anti twist plate was not available. I then looked into a collar ring and found nothing. Help!

I just picked one up. It's a great camera. WOW!The exposure meter is phenominal.

So now it's December 2008................how is that $360 lens doing? I just got one from B&H for $1200 and I love it. That lens and my F100 are incredible together.

I've been using my Fuji S2 for a long time now doing just what you want to do. I would think
the S3 is just as if not even better than what I have.

I use the Nikno flash with the IR adapter to trigger my srobes. Can't remeber swhich one but
it was less than 100 bucks.

Have you tried the other settings as well besides color balance?

3. Truly can I produce the same pictures that I did with a filim on a DSLR (standard postcard
prints..)
Keep in mind that your priniting system has a lot to do with this as well. A 2000 camera only
produces prints as well as its file size and printer allow it to.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

Only thing I ever saw was an update for firewire use and that was it.

You be disappointed when the shutter speed gets real slow.
