So naturally graceful. Relaxed. Natural. Kudos to you both.
  7. It takes a lot of talent put a loaded camera in to a bag, let alone take it out. Years of practice has made me a master at accidental shooting.
  8. Well, there is this: Nikon Made the Weirdest Music Video for Its 100th Birthday Caution, some may find this cheesy, weird and otherwise harmful to ones health.
  9. Big sky is impressive, for sure, but I like the range of tones across the river. It's been almost 39 years since my last visit there, and considering that I live in North Idaho and head to Minnesota often, not stoping is a crime.
  10. As I've pondered this for a while, I started to wonder about what pictures those cheap/millennial/smartphone-toting newspapers were able to capture. And, I agree, a government man talking into a microphone is not particularly newsworthy, nor is it a shot of a decisive moment, it may come to be an iconic picture years from now. And it may help stave off the demise of professional photo journalism for some time.
  11. Very interesting write-up. Great shots, but as for the subject in general---circus comes to mind! And a few folks appear to have not gotten the dress code memo--or perhaps they should be congratulated for being courageous enough to dare to be different.
  12. I id'd many of them. But without you putting numbers next to each picture it isn't easy to link the names with the shot. Yeah, like, the one with feathers and 2 legs is a shrike.
  13. Well taking farm pictures in Utah and Idaho could land you in jail.
  14. Navigating this site is like trying to run through molasses--it ain't fast, and it certainly isn't logical.
  15. Chazfenn, I agree there is something odd about the image. Almost like it's two superimposed shots. The blur is in front of the "sharper" image, i.e., it coms later in the exposure sequence. But, yes, as has been suggested, let's see a static shot so we can learn more. It's a puzzlement!
  16. And there is this: Macs are most reliable and have best tech support, Consumer Reports survey says
  17. While not as active as many of you, I joined in November 2001 when I got my first DSLR, a D100. Congrats on 20, and thanks to all of you for your advice and help over the years.
  18. Did you accidentally manually fine tune your white balance? I know I did--once! Or if you haven't, maybe you should.
  19. The whole site loads and runs s---l---o---l---y giving me time to enjoy my coffee with no interruptions!
  20. Good travel photographs must incorporate 3 things: context--show objects, people, wildlife, etc., in context, not isolation. The essence of place. scales-- don't go for just close up shots but include pull-back shots to show perspective. Authenticity-- don't go for the cheesy, posed pictures.
