The crip outline of the monk's head looks a little unnatural.
-
Good observation on old versus new. I find the shot a bit centralised though...the building is just there, smack in the middle.
What's the lightened blur, bottom centre?
-
Would be stronger if all the figures were looking at the guy speaking or at his book. Interesting travel shot nonetheless.
-
Interesting combination of texture and subject to the shot...

Simple and effective; I like the strong perspective interacting with the lamp at the end of the pier.
-
I think this is a strong shot; the angle it's taken from makes the castle look very imposing....looming over the viewer. Have you tried some selective lightening/darken around the castle structure.....this could help generate even more of an imposing feeling.

An unusual subject for a folder...I think this is the strongest because I like the strong, almost confrontational, composition.

This little fellow must have been missing its owner, somewhere in the
back streets of Shibuya, Tokyo, May 2004. I liked the contrast
between the soft fluffiness and the rather grotty chain link fencing.

I like the way you've captured the two empty chairs contrasting with the two figures - really adds something to the scene for me.

A bit skew?
-
The plain grass in the bottom half of the pic takes up too much of the frame I feel.
-
a well balanced composition

Perhaps stronger if the man on the right were cropped out?
-
I too like the way the child stands out from a slightly blurred background. Great shot, made even stronger through the use of the flag painted on the wall.

I like the composition. By including lots of sky you help generate the feeling of being out in the open air. Maybe I'd suggest that the sky is a little blown out though.
-
If the bird were looking into the shot it would be far stronger I feel.

Love the composition and the nearly-kissing-but-not-quite arrangement. The soft pastel colours complement the subject very well too. (But it's a bit large!)

A bit blue? Some colour correction needed to bring out the natural colour of the stone?
Trafalgar Square

Perhaps one of the most famous of London's squares, this shot shows the what the square seems to be most famous for - its pigeons (and also the statue of Lord Nelson on his column and also King George IV).
I added some toning to this.
