Lights

New to photo.net. I have recently taken photography up again after a

about 10 years off. Just thought I would throw a photo out there for

feedback.

Interesting picture...not sure how to react to it though...certainly different from most of the glamor style photos usually here.....

 

Was wondering what inspired you to put this particular photo on line....I mean....why do you take it?

On a technical level, think I would make the photo slightly darker and put it in a thin black frame....

 

Looked at your other photos now....you have an interesting outlook

Good use of DoF, my eye is really pulled into the photo, bummer that the main lamp is overexposed.

Nice idea, if the light where lid, it would creat a tremendouse cross lighting effece ;)

I think the focus should fall on one of the lamps (is that what they are?) that stands out in some way from the others, either by position or shape, preferably both. Consider moving one? Otherwise it seems a bit dull to me.

Thanks for the (quick!) feedback. I realise my style is not much like the rest of the stuff here, but I appreciate this site as a fantastic resource for photographers and wanted to contribute. I have learned quite a bit already. Good point about the overexposed lamp. I was exposing for the grass and figured the film could handle it. Lots more to learn :)
