Otherwise, it's appealing as a texture shot.

If you're guilty of something, that's originality. Nice job!
-
Looks very intense. You didn't capture a scene, you caught some tension here. I should get out more...
-
Gets in the way. I wouldn't have enjoyed the photograph if it wasn't for the previous posters' remarks, so much I found the title distracting.
Nice work, though. If I had been driving behind you, I probably would have gotten out to take a photo too.

The composition and effect are nicely balanced. This is a very original and nicely done shot!

I didn't perceive the street at all. I saw the doors and that's what drew me to the photo. If I stop and analyze the shot, yes, the street is in the middle, but then, it also "frames" the doors. Ruth, where is this place? It's a lovely shot, but curiosity...

She's smiling at you, isn't she? That's nice. BTW, I like this shot.

This is a GREAT shot! Shows humor, a nice, quirky sense of color and contrast... and it makes an extremely original picture. Great job!

I guess you'd like to enhance the effect of your composition by cropping it a little, and leaving the subject a bit off-centered (rule of thirds here). Then you'll have a nicer color contrast.
-
That's what this is. And the nice thing is that, even small, it still communicates the same serenity.
-
I like the overall effect of this composition. Original combination of color and textures too.

I thought your subject was the Moulin... Isn't that the case?
-
Nice and original approach! Far from the regular postcard shot.
-
This is a great solution to the problem of shooting the I. Pei piece! Really good and original shot.
-
I like the oblique angle... but something is still missing here.
-
The effect is weird, though not as a speed-suggesting one, but rather as a pond ripple: it sends waves.
-
Another shot that stands on its own, IR or not. Very nicely composed!
-
This is a good reason to do IR photography. Great job!

Very nice urban shot. Did you use a filter? How about exposure time? Inquiring minds... as I like night shots myself. Thanks for sharing!

Great! Now... how did you manage? Post a how-to-story, please. I'm fascinated by the wonders you can do in macro, and this is one I would like to emulate. Sometime, when I grow up...
-
I really like the effect (peace, calm, tranquility) you achieve here with the tone. To me, this is better than the original IR, although that one has its merits too...

I do appreciate your taking time to reply to my question. Now I have a clearer idea as to what to do the next time I go out with my camera: take my tripod along. See you!
