I'm not surprised that you like Polaroid, as you're always experimenting with the various photo films ;) !

Having browsed this folder, I've enjoyed the combination of blurry pictures, together with the strange colors of polaroid. I feel that these kind of shots are best viewed in series - a problem I've often felt on on-line communities as people only consider pictures separetely.

To me, this one is the most interesting image. Yet, maybe more "classical" than others, I enjoy its mysterious serinity.

This is a very intereting image, the flare's colors add a truly unique point of view! I love it!

I think that you can do plenty of tests with the framing (as the background is white). Maybe a more "diagonal" version for a more dynamic image?

PS: Thanks for your note on my work BTW :)

What an interesting doll-face image! Some of the pics in this series look a little scarying to me :)

The model reminds me of Christina Ricci BTW.

PS: Thanks for your comments on my work :)

I'm not sure about Avisheh's interepretation but this is indeed an interesting image - despite the washed-out woman's face.

I think that this is your most interesting image. I'm not too keen on the background, though, I would have prefered it more symetric (the bright left side doesn't match the darker right side). Hope this helps :)

Nice soft look, but you skin blurring might be too pronouced as you said. Try to reduce it and add a little noise to the blurred area (around 0.6% of gaussion noise). Try it! That's what I'm usually doing, and the result is way more realistic. Hope this helps :)

Very nice cropping, I like it! Maybe the light is too strong on the right side of her face, otherwise, it's an eye-catcher. My congratulations!
  1. That's really nice. Texture and colors are Magrittesque, but there is your own touch of originality in this shot. Now that you've proved that you're very talented, I really encourage you to find your own style (like in this shot, or in "No entry (031)" (another neat idea)), so that you can get rid of this "a la Magritte" feeling and give way to a "a la Ben Goosens" label ;-). I know, it's easier to say than to do! Good luck!

So Magrittesque! It's a great work which ressembles what RICHARD DESMARAIS is presenting here. I however find it less original than your "Strange influence 1 (12)" in the same folder, as this one "only" copies some Magritte's key elements (but it a great way). Nevertheless it is still great!

    My congratulations!

I hope that you'll continue developing your own vision and share these pictures with us.

This is a great picture, my congratulations! It really deserves a 10/10! Great tones, framing and expression. My only complain would maybe be the fingers which are cropped. But it is still high quality work. Great!
  2. Great picture! I really have the feeling of "being there", that's wonderful! The composition is well balanced, it for sure required some talent to shoot five persons at the same time. You can surely be proud of this shot!
