The colorful umbrella was resting under the sun of Vang Vieng while a dark sky was coming upon.
I just enjoyed wandering alone in this charming countryside of Laos.

What's your opinion on this picture? All comments are welcome.

Thank you for your comment.
I actually prefer that the face does *almost* not appear: the viewer is forced to look for it (based on composition: if you don't see the face, the picture is unbalanced / Or based on the title :).
It's also playing on the ghost theme.

Contrast increased *a lot* to emphasize the backlight petals and the
drops. Black and white creating a shape. Your opinion?

I like the garden behind Notre-Dame: less people around and you can
enjoy the very elegant structure of the Cathedral, echoed here by this
statue.

Moonset : a good time for night photography (especially when one can't
sleep) and apparently a good time for fishing too... :)

View from the garden behind Notre-Dame de Paris early in the morning.
I tried to recreate in digital the look I liked in traditional darkroom. Your opinion/advice?

Wow!!! Muchos Gracias to all... :)

I like the contrast between the lighthouse and the almost day-like scenery, emphasized by the shadows casted by the full moon.
What do you think?

I liked the balance between the Cup and the preparation for the fight
(Randori). Opinions? Advice?

I love it! It's the perfect illustration of 'wrong timing' in nature photography... very humorous: we are now getting the truth of what's going on after all those thousands of nice birds pictures. Bravo for this documentary aspect! :)

Excellent photo! I like dark branch/light grass opposition and the great out of focus background & colors. Well done
-
I liked it as well... but I found that other objects lessened that strong contrast.
Eddy: what's your opinion on this crop?
-
I like it. I can't explain why, but it 'works' for me.
Maybe because my mind try to find the answer to "what is this?" in proxy photography... whereas it is actually from kilometers away!

I like the abstract way of 'reading' this picture: nice colours, lines, composition... The water also seems slightly blurred: was it a long exposure? It actually adds to the abstraction.
The bright area in the sky gets too much attention to my liking (crop? darken?), but that's a minor point.
=> great picture.

There was a lot activity in this room, and monks seemed to enjoy quite
a lot (TV? :). This elder monk found a great place...

I liked the delicate lightning of this Buddha in a temple of Luang
Prabang, Laos. Your opinion?

Thank you for your kind comments, Garry and Francisco.

I woke up before Sunrise to arrive in the rice fields at the right time. The scenery was just awesome, there...
What draw my eye first was the lighted tree and the dark mountain. I moved to have them aligned, framed the rice bundles on the right to balance the tree and discarded the 1/3 rule to include the mountain in the right that brings some perspective and close the picture. Of course, the sky and colors were just great!
Your opinion?
