Nice work, what lens, apeture + shutter speed was used for this shot?
-
hmmm me thinks too much fun was had with that "qtip" or cottonbud as we call them.
-
Strange looking cat...

Unfortunatly I didnt have a ND filter at the time. It was taken on holidays, and all i had with with my was recently aquired Yahisca Fx3 with a 50mm f2 and a 28mm 2.8.. But the result with an ND would have been interesting, however I also didnt have a tripod with me, + the ship was a'rockin so I think this shot without one is pretty good :)
I just pulled out the old Yashica + I'm gonna give it another shot, but I unfortunatly don't see any holidays coming up where i could repeat this photo :( (would be nice tho)

Please comment on this photo for me. Your opinion?
-
The only modification from the 8x12 print scan was a 0.7 clockwise rotation to get the horizon level. Other than that it is an unaltered full frame.
What do you think?
-
Changed the hue on the top of the trees from green to yellow, still not too sure on it, Adjusted the hue on the reeds, and the berries on the ground on the left (might change those back)
-
This landscape comes from a scan of a normal sized print. The photo
was taken at my local park, and it was just about to be thrown down
the back of the closet as a VERY BAD photo, before I was bored one
day, and tried to make something useful out of these shots I was
disposing of. (this is about a 40% crop)
The photo required extensive photoshop alteration, burning, dodging,
cropping, hue, saturation, contrast etc. What do you think of the
final effort?
-
"It's figurative yet abstract, human and yet more symbolic to me of the grace and elegance of life around us than necessarily that of the woman that we identify with"
I can't agree with this, the cropping of the leg makes the picture seem artificial, as if it was a photo of a manequin, and as such, loses that "human" touch for me.

What lens was used for this picture?
-
Very well done, especially with the 50mm
What is the light source for this picture?
-
Phwoarr note the chromic abberations from the g2 on the page..
-
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but Xp2 is on a purple negative? Isnt the kodak version on orange?
-
Can anyone explain the sepia colour cast of this image, and how it
can be reproduced..
This was developed c41 on standard kodak colour paper..
Thanks

hehe yes I am on the wrong side of the safety barrier :) There is very limited DOF, I took it from my 1.4ais wide open, resting on the bottom of the rail, for 2 seconds, I was amazed it was sharp..
-
There was *very* little DOF on the railing, it is sharp for a very short distance, I am deciding wether to do a higher res version with all the trimmings (ie sharpening, edge creation etc)

Conceptually worth working on? (cheap + nasty photoshop work, lots of
errors).. Rating?
-
Fairly "cheap and nasty" (lots of errors) photoshop work I did tonight, trying to justify a roll with not much on it :) conceptually worth working on?
-
the horizon is level on the negative, its just a bad scan, i had a look see.
-
I have thought about the horizon and I will look into it, This by the way isnt a crop, its the entire frame, just wondering if there is a crop besides making the horizon level, to improve the pic, thanks :)
