may be too centered ?

gets me dizzy

I browsed through your portfolio and found some very interesting pictures. That one has, for me, almost no interest at all, except may be for the document value (et encore il aurait fallu montrer le contexte) and the anecdote.
As for improving his/her own photo practice I guess it all depends what you want to do exactly.
En tout cas continue, j'aime bien le reste.

Thank you Stefan for your explanatory note.

I find shooting marches very difficult...
But what do YOU think about this picture ? What does or does not please you ?
-
... why put it under news/journalism category ?
anyway, as for the image itself I don't think the restraints idea is really effective
also I find the "stop" word very explicit and unnecessary (would your image speaks by itself)
interesting but does not work for me

well...
I LOVE this composition, really excellent
and I HATE the hand wrist bracelet stuff - can't refrain myself from seeing it - pisses me off, really

nice -
too bad the background messes up the image

I actually don't remember any nice and original male lips pic.
This one works for me.
Nice point of view, DOP. Nice title too.

They are fruit pickers on strike in the South of France. Legal migrants, they come from Morroco, Tunisia. Housing conditions are terrible, but they were mostly on strike because of 1 to 3,000 euros unpaid hours, each. "Les p꣨es de la Col貥" refers to "The Grapes of Wrath". Most of them are 6 to 8 months away from their family. Some of them say they bring their lack of self-respect back with them at home where they do not feel at ease anymore...

where are we ? who are they ? etc...

What do you think this is all about ? What are the
information/feelings you get, if any, from these pictures ?
-
BENJAMIN GONZALES> it is actually part of the 'story' - he left his world and came to join her - the french title "La rejoindre dans le bleu" could translate into "joining her into the blue"
Thank you Benjamin for your comment.

Would be interested in having feedback about this serie. What do you
think is conveyed through (if anything) ? feelings ? information ? story ?
thx

Funny picture although the background messes it up a bit. May be a less-centered composition would have helped ?
-
yep - your're right - I move it to Abstract - thx

well I don't know if the shadow you touched were on the tower but it sure sounds strange, like it is made of metal.

Max, why don't you leave me a comment so that I can understand why you rated this image so high ? Best regards.

I did not have time to rate this folder so I chose this photo. It is very interesting, I like the body shadow in the background. Line drawn between - we can imagine - shadow's eye -> girl's head -> girl's eyes -> chalk/blackboard. May be a bit too tightly cropped on the left.
[been in Czech & Slovak Republics for almost two years in early 90's - very interested in discrimination against roms at this this time]

I thought about your cropping (young boy + drum + stick) but I wanted to keep the triangle (made of the 3 different faces/gazes). But I think I'll try this cropping anyway sometimes. Boy at eye-level : I'm not sure... I like his very defiant look althought we are "above" him.
Thank you for your comment.

very nice atmosphere indeed - (may be some cropping on the right vertical side ?)
