... why put it under news/journalism category ?

anyway, as for the image itself I don't think the restraints idea is really effective

also I find the "stop" word very explicit and unnecessary (would your image speaks by itself)

interesting but does not work for me

Maybe we have to make a Poster of it, and to put it on all walls for other to see and to STOP Child Abuse!!!!

Or maybe you make a kind of circular email message and we send it to other people :)

Hi Johnny, Very strong image indeed. I applaud you wanting to make a statement about child abuse. I'm a photographer of children and have done much documentary work so I can relate to what you're doing. HOWEVER, I can't help but feel that the child bound in the photo is also being abused....by YOU? Is this child crying because he/she is bound...and uncomfortable? In my opinion a photographer has to really questions his/her motives, and question if he/she is doing harm? Did you stop to think that this child suffered...and will always suffer...as a result of being involved in this photo?

Very effective image with a message, and I agree with the message. I am actually hoping that since you shot this with the 20D, that it is a digital composite of two separate images. If so, that's a good thing. If, however, it is an original image with the child really wrapped and bound, then I, too, have to question the means used to make the shot.

As I said, it's a powerful and original image, and I commend you for it. But if it's a one-shot, I couldn't have/wouldn't have done it, myself.
