  1. Admired the timing to capture a pose that extrapolates to an 'attitude' ,,,,, in the thumbnail.

clicking to larger view reveals crude post processing that detracts and swamps the initial reaction (for this viewer).

  2. Echo Holger on this: 'cept the texture is the anchor for me. or at least the unity (?).

re: WTF; I'm confused and also in high respect that confusion can be made so captivating.

As usual, a treat to view, example to study and learn, and a defiance of textual explanation.

    Thanks for this.

Rewards the viewer with layer upon layer of primary/pastel colours, texture, abstract shapes and geometry, present and past, inference of human relationships (neighboring windows) and civilization (old construction); and all choreographed together with McRitchie precision and whimsy.

Thanks Jack; I always appreciate feedback on how others see what I present, and yours are especially insightful.

In this case, your words describe exactly why I took the photo, so it's nice to know it worked for at least one other person.

  3. So the yellow hat enjoys all the attention for now; framed by the window, the bright light circle, the car and motorcycle, the intent of Mr. Macho, ..., but the lamp(?) is about to douse it with the shadow it pours down like it's a bucket of ice water . Oooohh it's gonna be brutal...

Interesting; the thumbnail had an abstract reminder of a bodice, larger view revealing details of the rock cracks'n seams, and human-like petroglyph or stain. Lack of identifiable scale contributes to the mystery of the story.

The 'clutter' of other details serves in this one to counterpoint and so emphasize, by means of visual calmness, the grace of form in her buttocks.
