  1. A creative POV of the subject which is nicely done. Nice overcast lighting brings the subject out well

A bit unusual for lone trees. You rarely see one shown in the rain. Nice. I like the selective lighting, as well. Lighting rendition?
  3. Artist's choice always takes precedence. If centering is what you like, then by all means do so. I never thought of this as a studio shot. It has the natural effect of a street shot. Your slider work is successful in the fact that it's subtle
  4. I agree. Not much glamorous about this. I really like the quality of the print. It's done very well. It's got very good detail to her face & clothing. I would crop some of the right off to move her off center

Very good with lots of immediate impact

The photo appears to have been rotated to adjust for a tilt correction as evidenced by the boy's head cropped or so close to the edge. He's still slightly tilted, as is the horizon. The middle of the horizon is blown out as is the water on the left & right

    Peace

Heavily processed, but I like it. It's also a good example of breaking the centered horizon rule. It works here. Maybe a bit more sharpness in the rocks & sailboat?

    Water Lillie

    A very pleasing photo
  9. Excellent. But I do prefer the version with the stray hair removed

Love the blue/yellow and the minimalist photo

    Red

I like this a lot. I tried it as a square format and found it works well. The splashes of red and green are excellent against the tan background

What RR tracks? Oh, seriously, I really like the DOF here. The viewer know what the background is and loses no focus on the model. She's quite pretty and the golden light enhances her. She's also very comfortable with the pose. The old locomotive is a plus. I just find that large white patch distracting. Good shot
  13. Pretty scene with a good DOF. At first I wasn't sure of the smoothness of the driftwood. But, I've seen wood polished this smoothly by the water

    Amazing Gaze

I really like the intensity of her expression, as well as the shadows. Skin may be a bit too perfect, but still an excellent image

Very well done with good DOF. The all important whiskers are nice and sharp as are all areas of the head. If anything, maybe a lightness or small fill catch light in the eyes would be a nice finishing touch. Regards, Ken
  16. I think it's a creative fun shot. But, I don't find any association with pin-up

    Alone

I agree somewhat, but feel my eye wanders too much with the centering. I think she and her loneliness become stronger off center. Only one row of window panes and some sidewalk were cropped. The right side untouched
  19. The processing doesn't bother me. Maybe a bit lighter on the corner vignette? I really like the splash of red in the one hull. It makes the sepia pop
  20. I like the colorful repetitive pattern. Living close to the water I can appreciate the feeling of this. I think I would crop a bit from the sand at bottom
  21. This is my favorite of the folder. Very artistic. Someone mentioned color matters. Here it does. It has more impact than the B&W version

This works perfectly with the title. I really like her expression and body language. I do think she's too centered with some space at left and bottom that could be cropped. I tried a quickie. Hope you don't mind

I really like the sense of scale the photographer & tripod give this. It's a very pleasing landscape and has good detail in the darker foreground, instead of being a muddy silhouette
  24. This is very well done. To appreciate it's clarity view it larger. It pops
