    In Too Deep

They sort of bothered me as well, until I opened the larger version. There they're recognizable

    In Too Deep

Surreal. Love the soft water and the saturation. The 3 figures let one's imagination go in many different directions. Good work
  3. I like the angle of view and the slightly offset symmetry
  4. Nice work. It does appear to be a ball going downhill. Like Timo, I would take some of the silhouetted ground off the bottom. It's a bit strong

    blue hour

I like the foreground detail. It's a nice change from the usual black blob
  6. It's lit well. Presented very well with the effect through the mat. Nice and sharp as well
  7. Nice! It has that interior daylight color film shift to it, even though done digitally
  8. Makes me feel as if I was there. A great threatening sky with the typical darkness before a good storm
  9. As much as I like the composition, what really makes it pop for me is the small touch of red
  10. I agree. Nothing original with slot canyons. However, I like the very narrow beam of sunlight (Normally they're wide.) This is also one of the best exposed slot shots, not having the usual very blown out highlight

    Orng hrs

Pregnant with foal? Good HDR; not overly done
  12. Oh, yeah. This is a solid 7. Fantastic detail & lighting
  13. I wish I was there. It works well. The curvature lead-in works to a large advantage

    Old Master

Nice job done with your processing here

    Foxglove(view larger)

Nice technique. that turned out well
  17. Pedantic, ostentatious? Afraid not. Difference of opinion? Yes. Critique doesn't mean opinions will always go your way
  18. I agree with Michael. Competition-wise, the light would be a huge detractor. Here, it's mostly an essential element. The more I looked at it, the more I like it. I do wish the fixture was a bit sharper. Either way, it's an interesting comp. which works
  19. I don't understand why the horizon was left so tilted. At first I thought it was the angle, then tried a quick rotation and partial crop
  20. Very good. These old beauties aren't that easy and require a close crop most times. There's usually man people around and the backgrounds usually awful

    Untitled

I'm finding the crop here very awkward. Nothing is really finished or shown fully. It's not an abstract, it's not a portrait, it's not wild flowers. All I see is what appears to be some very lovely red hair that's seriously cropped out
