Ha! That's great. Funny--I have this exact same whisk in my kitchen and just announced to my wife a week ago that it would surely win the gold medal for world's most useless implement... How wrong I was!

looks like brain surgery... VERY interesting, even bizzarre photograph. not sure what to make of the glass of red liquid.

Great detail--such funny creatures! Is this a 4 frames overlay to expose for the reflection of the sky? Good job getting those 4 and keeping this guy still the whole time.

Been a long time since I've seen one this interesting. Nice piece of work & I like your portfolio as well.

This is a greyscale (and slightly sepia-toned) version of the original
post. Film was Kodak Gold 100, taken late evening ~ 9pm, tripod,
probably f8, cable release. I think I might prefer this to the color;
what do you think? Thanks!

very nice composition... washington mutual on the right and...hmm.. can't think of the name (rainier something bank?). that one has always scared me, earthquake-wise.

I think this would actually be better without the cat; nothing against cats, but it feels kind of "tacked on" here. If the cat were looking at the book and the book were turned the right way, it would be a different story. Otherwise, love it.

It's gorgeous--seems ridiculously small considering the format and the fact that it could probably be blown up to the size of a wall, though.

This is really powerful, not just the color, but also the fleeting nature of life that I think you were going for--everything just being blown about by the wind. I don't like the red thing on the ground; otherwise, love it!

This is astounding. I'm interested-- assuming this is from a digital, what sort of iso-equivalent setting are you using to expose this for only 1/100,000th second? The image doesn't appear grainy at all, nor underexposed. Fascinating to look at.

Gorgeous and supremely relaxing photo--I find myself just gazing at it. Must have been quite an experience.

I love the light! Almost surreal. Really very good (I'm assuming this wasn't set up)-- just wish I could see her head.

funny that the hurricane dragged this thing up. if you really want to know the age and "nationality" of the can, you might try emailing the picture to one (or all) of the addresses on this page: http://www.woccatlanta.com/wocc2.html --this is the Coke museum in Atlanta. worth a shot...

Well, the stove is very retro, but I think this is composed a bit awkwardly... Not sure I have better ideas, but here's a couple of options that come to mind: pan on back left burner, handle more or less towards us, wide angle lens aimed across the stove from right to left catching the super-cool logo out of the "corner of your eye". Perhaps something other than whole eggs in the pan--seems a little forced. In any case, maybe a composition that shows more of the stove and is not dominated by the big cast iron skillet. I like your idea, though. Makes me want to eat a quiche. Thanks!

This is a GREAT abstract! Very eye-catching. Watch out-- they might steal your title for use as a new health-conscious advertising slogan...

what about something like this? just a rough first draft. needs some interior borders. just playing around, hope you don't mind.

I don't think I'd crop it. I tried cropping the upper portion down close to the roof (leaving about the same amount of open space as there is in front of the car). I liked that the car wasn't centered anymore, but didn't like the proportions of the photo--too long and narrow. I think it's tough to do much cropping here--you're not really close enough to the car for a detail shot of just one section, and if you're going to show the whole car, you're kind of stuck with these proportions. That said, I think it's great the way it stands--very eye-catching. The toning is fantastic too. It really suits the subject perfectly. Thanks.

This is beautiful. Her eyes and the colors are stunning. Very nice pose too.

80mph down the grapevine of California last Thanksgiving. How do
you like the mood?
