single photos Kayaking Badwater, Death Valley

I don't know if this should be categorized as a "landscape"

or "sport" shot. This is late evening at Badwater, Death Valley,

the lowest spot in the western hemisphere at 282' below sea level.

It was an incredible and unique experience to kayak this place since

it is usually just a big salt bed. Even kayaking hundreds of yards

out into the lake it was still just a foot or two deep. Any

comments or suggestions are appreciated. I thought about using the

self-timer and standing in the water with my paddle looking over the

lake... I wish I would've tried it to perhaps give it some more

interest.

I like the great perspective on your kayak here, and the lighting here is very delicate -- looks great. The story is what really makes this shot. Hope you got some photos while you were out in the water -- I'm headed to your portfolio now.

I just don't recognize badwater as it was such a diminutive little puddle last I saw it... This is a great shot. The wide angle and the lines of the kayak are dramatic, the cool light of the dusk, yer da man...

The wide-angle perspective and the contrast between warm and cold colours works pretty well here: I like this kind of after-the-action outdoor shot.

A very unusual picture of the Death Valley, I would say. Apparently a "hell of a place" also for kayaking. Great perspective, as well!

Gorgeous and supremely relaxing photo--I find myself just gazing at it. Must have been quite an experience.
