Magnificent image, outstanding composition and distribution of monochrome tones. Maybe crop a little off the bottom in order to reduce the black area slightly and lend the image a more panoramic character? Best regards.

Wow! I Love the diagonal separation between dark and light and the birds that kind of follow the theme.....beautifully done!

Well composed, beautiful tonal placement and fascinating (the water as if a long exposure yet birds captured with such clarity).  Beautiful work, Anabela.

I join lots of people who already have commended you on this fine image.  It exhibits skilled lighting control, spot on composition and perspective, and plenty of atmosphere.

I love it - is it a composite? I too wonder about the slow shutter speed effect on the water, yet the birds are sharp. The negative black space at the bottom is great, but the subtle light in the clouds angling towards the birds is perfect. One of the more interesting pictures I've seen here in a while.

Thanks so much everyone for your all too kind words. I greatly appreciate them.

Yes Jim, it is a composite of two shots (ocean/birds) under different shutter speeds.

Again, thank you very much indeed.

Anabela whether is a composite or not, it doe's not matter. Is the result that matters and the result is truly excellent. Bravo.

Dear Anabela. Interesting composition. One is a long shunter-speed exposure the others is a short  with the birds. This birds flying in this formation in a mach higher altitude,  never skimming the water like that,    and the  two image  combined  is  out of the visual balance. It is unnatural. Composite images has to be  carefully created, not to  make it  visible,  it is a copy ant past image. Or, if the intention was a creation of a "surrealistic"  art work  it has to be a surrealistic  artwork as such. And this image  is not of them.  Regardless,  for  the average lookers, it is a catchy image  with an interesting mood.

The positive  here is,  you  trying to do something  more then a single  shoot picture,  and  using your imagination,  the  artistic creative  mind  which is  good  and you  has to move  and  practice this creative art work. But try to observe nature more precisely. Please don't take  my comments, as I put down you image, rather, I like to help you to improve it. Moving subject photographed, frozen in motion, never goes to a basic image which was  done  with a long exposure. A tree a rock or builder  and such,  yes,  but not a flying birds  frozen in  motion.

I hope, you understand my pure English.

Cheers.
