Pentax 300mm lens. Lee 0.6 hard ND grad filter. Bogen 3236/3047 tripod/head. Inverted and adjusted in Photoshop CS. In addition to the grain management algorithm in the scanning software, I processed this in NeatImage post scan. I think it looks best in LARGE view. Thanks.

Tatulinski is an Indian name? Cool...For a while I thought it was Polish. Good shot Walter. Did you try to bring out some more textures in the snow in the foreground.

Thanks for the suggestion Jay. I did not try anything on the foreground with this photograph other than color correcting; there was quite a strong blue cast, naturally. The original TIF has considerable detail in the snow, especially in the areas along the right that have the strong side illumination. I may examine this suggestion more closely.

And yes, the tribes of Krakow have called Son of Tatul brother for eons. Regards.

walter, another winner. what a fine eye you have. could you share a bit how you find a shot, how you compose, the kind of time you take, what you do before deciding to shoot, etc? your shots show such great care in execution, i would be interested in knowing your process of getting there if this is not too intrusive.
