Sainte-Enimie

The old meandering streets of Ste-Enimie in the Lozère department are very inspiring. Shot handheld with an Olympus Zuiko 14-42 mm 3.5-5.6 lens.

A street view of the historical town of Sainte-Enimie (about 500 inhabitants) in the southern French Lozère department, now a part of the commune of the Gorges du Tarn Causses. The small town is named after Énimie, daughter of the Merovingian king Clothar II. She was cured from leprosy three times by bathing in a nearby river and started a convent. The small town is very popular among tourists and is very close to the Tarn river and the famous Gorges du Tarn canyon. Your comments are very welcome.

Vincent, I really like the point of view that you chose for this image. It really shows off the craftsmanship and architectural details of this region and period of time. It also draws my eye along the street/path, through the buildings, and ultimately to the mountainside beyond. Well done! Todd
