michaellinder 16,611 Posted November 5, 2019 Pierre, I have the honor to be the first. I must comment on the cybernetic organism first. It is the only object in this image that doesn't cast any shadows. I wonder whether that's a feature its creators programmed into its software for the purpose of stealth missions. And why would the organism have a watch. Certainly the ability to tell time also would have been programmed into its software. The organism must have a degree of vanity to adorn itself with such a bauble. Also, the watch also may function as a communication device, hence its right pointer finger on the watch. Finally, its "hair" results in a similarity with Medusa. In the meantime, the pigeon sits with its eyes trained on the phone. Perhaps in the Dumas world, pigeons have intelligent thoughts and is wondering how to use the phone. The phone is of no use to the cyberman for reasons stated before. It's been a while since you posted an allegorical image like this; I'm very glad you decided to do so. - - My best always, michael (another favorite) Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 5, 2019 the pigeon and the phone represent the means of communication, Michael! Thank you for the longest comment so far, my friend! PDE Link to comment

tai 3 Posted November 6, 2019 Excellent evolutionary ironic picture, Pierre! You made me laugh! This image made me a funny association with a long-written poesy by the famous poet Andrei Voznesensky "Do not forget." I’ll quote “In the morning, putting on your underpants, don’t forget about the wristwatch.” Technological progress has changed the morning sequence of actions of modern man. I dare to offer you the title " In the mornings putting on your wristwatch , don't forget about ...". Masterfully done! Congratulations! Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment
Giangiorgio Crisponi 463 Posted November 6, 2019 The title contains all the content of the beautiful image that you have artistically produced and their meaning on communication, the eye lingers on all the details so sharp, ciao Giangiorgio Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 6, 2019 Thank you very much, Tatiana, but, your title is too long! However, I will reconsider it! Thank you for your most imaginative comment! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 6, 2019 Thank you, Giangiorgio! About the title I meant the same as you said, my friend, but, Tatiana here has some other thoughts! PDE Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 6, 2019 Indeed very surreal, clever sculpture, also. Wonder how you have managed to get the shadows from the telephone and the bird. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted November 6, 2019 The picture is made of PSD files, each figure one layer! The shadows are made with duplicate layer, darkening to black the layer, then regulating the transparency and turning and extending the layer by wish, Phillip! Thank you for your nice comment! vincentoiseau 83 Posted November 9, 2019 Hi Pierre, I rarely see composite photos that keep my attention for some time, but this one did! It's an incredibly smart work of photographic art that tells us something about old, newer and newest forms of communication (if the watch is a 'smart' one), I like it! Very well done! Kind regards, Vincent Link to comment
