Walter, thanks for visiting my version of this. I thought I left a comment when you first posted this, but I guess I didn't. This is beautiful. I was actually here a few days before you were, probably right in the same spot (little pavillion on the path?). I really like this photo and the effects of your didymium filter on this scene. Very nice colors and saturation compared to mine. I think I will investigate getting one for next fall after seeing this - stay tuned. I enjoyed your comments about being that "world-famous spelunker and explorer". If anybody's interested, here is my version.

After viewing all your images as thumbnails only, this is the photo I thin I like best of all your landscapes. It has a great orange framing of leafs, and the water flaws very nicely from that orange area top right to the larger orange are at the bottom. In short, I think the water and the leafs work TOGETHER in this composition. That is a touch of originality for me, although the subject is a cliche.

As thumbnnails only, how gracious. Frankly edith, I have no interest in what you think. If you feel compelled to rate and comment my work, so be it, I would rather you did not, but I can't stop you.

This is a beautiful capture. Lovely colors, composition, and overall feel. It is technically superb. I think the word "cliche" is not warranted and insulting. That word could easily be applied to most any picture of this type and sounds like a cheap shot.

Oh, what a beauty!

Brillant scene, Walter

All my best,

Spot on composition. I feel as though I am looking through a window on one of those covered bridges. Beautiful photograph.

Manificent colors and suberb composition. I love this "Fall" framing of the river. I have to visit this location in Fall. I have to this place few times in summer with my kids. You did a superb job capturing just right elements.

Again I would like to thank everyone for visiting. I revisited this location in Autumn of 2004 and tried out a new angle. It can be seen in my photograph called Where I Wander. Allthough I am pleased with the results at that new location, I myself still have a strong fondness for this image. Regards.

Walter, I was looking through your portfolio again and this image really caught my eye. I love the fall colors surrounding the rushing stream, a real winner. Cheers, Sondra

Thanks Sondra. This photograph is probably my favorite of all that I have taken. As I mentioned above, there is an element of the past that continues in me through this photograph. Regards.

Well, thank you very much everyone. I went back to reshoot this location four times that year to end with this shot. Colin, I used the old Big Pup on this one; can't beat it. Regards.
