This really caught my eye when I saw the thumbnail because it instantly projected a "solitude moment" type of mood about it!

Was orginally thinking that I wish it had more of the beach in the foreground but, now I see it's all water and the incoming waves anchor the entire scene very well.

The colors are gorgeous and the silhouettes of the birds are simply wonderful.

As a bird and nature fan I've always wanted to travel to your part of the world. I know that there is some fantastic bird opportunities down there!

Oh yes, I'm also a fan of the lens and body combination you're using!

Cheers & Regards always,

Jim j.

Well captured! The formation of the birds is what makes this shot special in my opinion. It's rare to capture them in such a nice frame fitting grouping with a nice background.

Great composition and perspective. But what I really like is the element of spacing and separation you have managed to achieve between the birds. A very well timed shot!

Compliments & Best Regards

No wonder your image has caught so much attention. It deserves every bit of it. Even though the subject is somehow trite (although I believe no one ever gets tired of watching sunsets), the capture of the moment is exceptional. It is a magnificent photograph. Congratulations.

Dear Rosario,

For me it is the abstract pattern created by the birds here that really captures our attention. You have presented them beautifully here. An original in the sunset genre for sure!

Janine, thanks for stopping by.
Ruud, as always, your comments are welcome.
James, Peru is a country with great biodiversity, bird species here represent 20% of all birds in the world, You can find them mostly in forest areas. Unfortunately many of these birds habitats are being destroyed by informal mining. If you come to Peru I recommend you go to some nature reserve, like Tambopata (near Cusco) and make special tours of bird sightings. Thank you very much for this extensive critique and kind words.
Siegfried, I was lucky this time, not always. Thanks for commenting!
Hi Alf. I must admit I've cloned some incomplete birds on the left side. Always a pleasure to receive your comments.
Bela! I really appreciate your kind words.
Daniel. You're right, it's never boring watching the sunsets, on the contrary, it is a pleasure! Thanks a lot!
Hi Timothy, I'm glad you like this picture, thank you for your kind comments.

The original image was a bit dark and noisy, I corrected the levels, I've straightened it, cloned some incomplete birds and applied an anti-noise filter. (I think without much success).
Thank you very much!

Regards,

Rosario.

Very nice soft picture with warm colors.

I find the crop a little bit tight, a pano crop form would have been nice.

But the photo is very very nice this way.

A very beautiful image! I love the birds silhouetted against that sunset sky and the descending sun's light on the water. I can almost hear the crash of the waves and the gulls cry. Beautiful soft colors. Lovely work! Thank you for sharing. :)

Thanks for sharing your impressions on this image, Trisha. In summer (Southern Hemisphere), we spent a lot of time on the beach, enjoying nature.

Kind Regards,

Rosario.
