Critique Requests shown when critiquing photos

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I've never seen it and I

wasn't able to find it via the search:

Would it be possible to have the photographer's "Critique Request"

show up somewhere on the <a

href="http://www.photo.net/gallery/photocritique/?

rating_type=photocritique&topic_id=1481&recent=4"> Critique

Photos</a> page? It is often that a "Critique Request" will offer

information that is relevant to the specific image and requested

critique. It also may offer just enough information to get some of

these drive by raters to actually put some thought into what they

are doing and type a few words. As it becomes harder and harder to

elicit meaningful comments this seems like a small improvement that

may be a move in the right direction. Thanks.

Hi Thomas,

I couldn't agree with you more. This has been suggested a few times, but the need for this feature to be implemented has never been greater. This feature could really improve the Rate Recent Photos Forum in many ways; it would force people to use a little more thought when critiquing. It could also help critiquers critique an image according to certain questions made by the photographer, like what are your thoughts on the composition? etc. I think this feature should most definitely be added because it has the potential to alleviate many frustrations that people have with this forum and the way it functions.

yes ...its been asked before and each time it gets a favourable response ... once there was even a mention it was on the "to do" list ... but time rolls on and nothing happens.

but the good news is - there is a quick and dirty fix - put your request into the title of the shot - that gets seen above the critique box. after it has had its few hours of glory (ten ratings i believe ...critiques dont count!) then you can trim back the oversized title and sit back to enjoy your multiple critiques ... "do i note a slight edge of sarcasm liv?" i hear you ask ... hell no!! ...lol
