peter_daalder
Tonight, I came across two versions of our venerable Web Master, Brian M.
My question is: After looking at his before and after images, how guilty do we feel for putting this man through all that we have done to him?
Look at the ageing process in just a matter of 12 months, or so... It is shocking! How can you sleep at night, knowing that this man is away from his (happy) family, trying to fix all of your problems accessing this web site...? melissa_eiselein
Speaking from a female point of view, I prefer the older, more mature photo of Brian.
Men just seem to get better as they get older. Gray in the hair and gray in neatly trimmed beard and/or mustache is very sexy.
Unfortunately, we women just get older. Sigh.
mottershead
Melissa, my wife agrees with you, which is why I don't shave off the beard. If you like grey beards, you ought to get Bob Atkins to post his portrait. His is even more gray than mine. Of course, he's been working on photo.net a lot longer than me. pmj
Adding a grey beard to Bob 1999? Hmmmm...
Jeremy Stein
Very sexy, huh? Well, in that case, you might want to check out my picture! (ROFL, but hopeful...)
think27
Your wife is right Brian -- Looking good. I vote for the beard and mustache...
peter_daalder
That's interesting - my wife made me shave my beard off!
Was allowed to keep my moustache, though... :)

This thread was posted for fun and I don't mind if it gets nuked at some stage...
Just noticed that Peter Apos' thread about giving credit where credit is due, didn't get too much of a response.
The posting of this thread was meant to approach the subject of recent major works at photo.net from a different (humorous?) angle...
Thanks for your replies, thus far! lex_jenkins
Dunno, Melissa, I can think of some women who've gotten better with age: Sela Ward, Michelle Pfeiffer, Bonnie Bedelia and several others who were kinda nondescript pretty when younger but distinctively beautiful in their 40s; and [big sigh] an ex-girlfriend I saw a couple years ago for the first time in more than 10 years. Some of us grow too soon old and too late smart. And some of us just grow potbellies.

h._p.
The trouble with being bald is that a beard just makes you look as if it's slipped down to your chin... :-(
dave_mueller
Oh, grey in the beard, that's the big secret? I guess I'll have to start dying mine grey.
