Can I Just Say...

Hi?!

I'm new here, so I just wanted to introduce myself. I took Photography 101 and a few multimedia-themed classes (including a deep-dive into compositing in Photoshop) at Chemeketa Community College in Salem, OR a little over a year ago, worked at Cashman Photo Enterprises in Las Vegas for a while, and now am trying to start my own photography business in west/central FL, though my gear is not great. Having a hard time getting going, so that's why I'm here.

Thanks for wasting brain cells getting to know a little about me. See ya around!

[Attaching a few sample photos for ya.]

-Mike

In what role? What were your responsibilities?

What is the market there?

Not really relevant at this point of the Business Planning.

Welcome in. Most of us are here because we can't stop embracing photography. Trying to make a living at it is a lot harder than armchair advice like I do. Business and passion are not the same, although sometimes the product of passion sells. Good luck. You can at least here ask questions and usually get good answers.

Important things I learned in business were to be timely and consistent when possible, to answer questions clearly and to appear and actually be interested in those I was working with and for. To be present and not distracted. Good luck.
