howardstanbury
The new site has happily imported my old posts which shared photos I had posted on Flickr through the use of BBCode in the form, [url=https://flic.kr/p/2nQYb8n][img]https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52406336819_26aa580eb7_b.jpg[/img][/url][url=https://flic.kr/p/2nQYb8n]SR 4-6-2 "BATTLE OF BRITAIN" CLASS NO. 34072 257 SQUADRON[/url] It doesn't appear to work now. I can insert the image by using the direct image URL thus, but this violates I believe Flickr's preference to have the image supplied with a link to the source page. It used to be that we could copy and paste BBCode into photo.net, and I can't see how to do it now - have I missed something?
Niels - NHSN
A while back when I looked if Flickr had an opinion on use of URL’s to pictures, I couldn’t find anything in the terms. I know there was such a policy way back but am not sure if it still applies. Have you read something to that effect recently? Niels

Dustin McAmera
I have always inserted Flickr photos with a link, but I used the Embed method in the Flickr 'share' dialog. Posts I made before the change have survived, but I just tried one here, and I just see the text of the jpg URL, not the picture. I'll see if I can find out how to do it... Edited October 9, 2022 by Dustin McAmera Link didn't work.
Dustin McAmera
Try just pasting the URL of the Flickr page: don't try to format it as a link. The editor will automatically embed it (it then offers to revert it to a text link). Can't see a way to control the size.. So here's Leeds Playhouse just about sunset:
howardstanbury
Thanks, yes that works, though previously things like the title and author were copied across in the BB Code I paste the Flickr short URL, https://flic.kr/p/2nQYb8n and get: 👍
Niels - NHSN
cool - that looks easy - I didn't like to get author info etc included the BB Code as I use different user names, so I obviously violated their guidelines because my images weren't clickable (I only read the terms). Happy to be in compliance 🙂 Niels
