rick_drawbridge
A worthy alternative to both the Minox and the Rollei is the Agfa Optima Sensor 1035, or the 1535 model with rangefinder if you have around USD500 to spend. I've bought and sold the Rollei because I literally had trouble getting to grips with it, and I still have a couple of working Minox GT's, but the little Agfa camera with it's 40mm f/2.8 Solitar S lens performs at least as well as either the Minox or the Rollei. It's also one of the most thoughtfully designed and attractive cameras of its era. There's a very readable review here: https://casualphotophile.com/2021/01/13/agfa-optima-1035-sensor-review/
bruce_z._li2
The Agfa Optima 1035/1535 does look intriguing, although at a slightly higher price range. I guess Rollei 35 XF will be in the same category.
